I have to clean the bathroom. I don't want to. :barf:

Is there an easy way to do this or am I just gonna have to elbow grease this out?

I always go in, spray everything and then leave it for a while so I can go be lazy. Pour some bleach in the bath and just give everything a good spray. Return to wipe everything down in like an hour or two >.>

Wipe down the counters with Lysol wipes/spray every other day or so, and you won't have to do much when you clean your bathroom. Guess that won't help you now, but.

Oooh! Also, bleach your toilet every other day or two before you go to bed so it can stay in that bowl overnight. Will rid you of all limescale. :)

Unfortunately, the bathroom really isn't one of those things where appearing to be clean = clean. You'll probably have to clean clean this one.

What's funny is that I was a housekeeper at a hotel for about a year (waaay back in the day) so technically I probably know how to clean a bathroom better than most people do.

It doesn't make it any more fun to do :( there needs to be an easier way!

Best advice is get it started now so that it'll be finished sooner. :3

Aside from Mullet's easy way. Use white vinegar to strip limescale of stuff like shower heads or taps, simply fix a baggy full over the desired item.

I like this enough to redraw your attention to it. In addition may I suggest not cleaning it, allowing it to become more disgusting until eventually one of your other room mates finnaly caves. Worked for me twice now.

I think you are asking to much here.

I clean the bathroom every Friday. Bleach the counters, windex the mirror, and vacuum the floor. Mop and clean everything else, should only take you twenty minutes. :P

I know how tough cleaning up the bathroom is! More than the effort in getting it done, its the laziness!! I become unusually lazy with the very thought of cleaning up the bathroom. So each time I feel that this is not gonna happen with me, I call upon home cleaners England (http://www.mollymaid.co.uk/cleaning-tips/cleaning-tips.aspx) to get it done!!

Thanks botbro, but I don't think they're gonna want to trek all the way over here to do it for me.

At least the bot knew what thread to target!

as a bachelor, I feel that I can assuredly tell you that I have no tips on how to clean a bathroom. :) In fact, I don't think I've seen a clean bathroom since I've visited my grandparents house.

You can always shift your perception of what a clean bathroom is. That might be easier.

But my dad is making me do it. :mad2:

(I'm 29 and my dad still makes me clean the bathroom. Shut up)

Just spray some Febreze in there and call it a day.

Pike

I've tried it. The nice fresh Febreze scent goes away after like ten minutes. I feel ripped off.

then take a shower

Easy Off Oven Cleaner dissolves shower filth really well. I use a wire brush on the scum build-up around the caulking. There's also a recipe that involved Dawn, but I haven't tried it--check Pinterest. I clean the sink and toilet with vinegar.

If you have to rent one, it defeats the purpose of having a husband in the first place.

Sigh. And the preview on the side of the page when browsing forums read:

Tifa's Boobs.

Such a disappointment when I actually saw the full title of the thread.

Scrubbing Bubbles on the shower while you clean the rest of it. Then when you come back, most of the grime does just rinse off.

Windex for mirrors, of course. Coffee filters are great to use instead of paper towels because they streak a lot less.

First, open up your toothpaste contained and squirt it allllll over the mirror. That's right, all over. Really get in there and get every inch of it covered. Second, that bleach spray you were going to use on the countertops? Unscrew the lid and dump that shit all down the toilet. Yes, all of it, down the drain. Third, get yourself a bottle of Hershey's chocolate sauce. You see where I'm going with this? Stand in the doorway and spray that fucker down like you're a firefighter hosing down the goddamned Mayor's house and his wife and dog are trapped inside, screaming for their lives while they burn alive.

Optional step four, do the same with strawberry syrup during "that time" for an added affect. Make sure you record the reaction of whoever it is next entering the bathroom after your escapades.

I cleaned Rob's bathroom because he cleans like a man, and it needed a woman's touch.

I've seen my parents use AJAX, but I hate the smell of that. I usually just use Lysol with bleach and lemon extract in it, but I have never and will never clean inside the toilet. Just ain't happening unless I'm the only one crapping in it. Guy's poop is horrid and is something I never want to be close to.

Bathroom cleaning is terrible.

You can use toothpaste to clean CD's and help repair scratches on them so I figured you were actually going somewhere with this.
