What's your favorite Sonic game? Favorite Zone? Favorite song?

I'm going for Sonic the Hedgehog 2 as my favorite and then Chemical Plant Zone as the best zone. Stardust Speedway Bad Future from Sonic CD is the best song.

Also, Sonic After the Sequel (https://sites.google.com/site/sonicbtsbooth/) is a fan-game that ranks up there with the original three so I have to mention it.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles was my favourite because of the interaction between the two titles. Sonic 2 comes in a close second - if Sonic 2 had Sonic 3's art style I'd pick it over Sonic 3.

My favourite zone is Death Egg/Doomsday from Sonic 3 & Knucklces as it was so climatic tieing up everything that had happened in Sonic 2, Sonic 3 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles - it was hard as nails too.

My favourite song is the Special Stage theme from Sonic 2.

All the classic Sonics really do have their own great things going for them and it's hard to pick which one is the "best" out of all of them. Personally I feel that Sonic 2 had the strongest level design but S3&K was a very strong title in its own right.

I kind of like the Sonic 1&2 art style over S3&K personally! It was cuter xD

Also my proudest achievement was getting all the Chaos Emeralds on Sonic CD on the PC and getting the "you are our greatest player" screen at the end of the credits. I think I was like... 8 or 9 then and was like "ahhhh yeaaah" :smug:

Oh man, Sonic CD is such an underrated little gem. It might not be quite up there with Sonic 2 and 3&K but it's an immensely fun and lovely game.

Sonic 2 will probably always be my favorite. I used to play that game with friends and family all the time. I do want to play Sonic 3 and Knuckles more one of these days. I sucked at that game as a kid so I got burnt out pretty quick. I did enjoy sticking Sonic 2 into that cartridge to play Sonic 2 with Knuckles. Really I sucked at all of the games. The only one I've beaten is Sonic CD (and that's not with all the chaos emeralds and such).

I downloaded Before and After the Sequel the other day. They are both pretty fun.

My favorite Sonic soundtrack is actually the one for Sonic 3D Blast on the Saturn (yes, the Saturn version's soundtrack is totally different from the Genesis version) with Sonic 2 being a close second. Sonic R has a great soundtrack too. :jess:

Its funny how I grew up with Sonic and had access to all the consoles he's been on, yet I never adopted him after his classic run, even though I remained an avid fan during the Dreamcast era. Kinda glad though. Never had to fully experience the fall of one of my favorite mascots. Still sad though. But Sonic 1 - Knuckles and CD were some spectacularly fond memories. Not sure what my favorite game was. But my favorite experience was definitely Sonic CD. The graphics in the backgrounds, the CD-quality music, the time travel aspect. And above all, for some reason, that VS scene with metal sonic really stuck in my brain as an intense one-on-one against a truly arch rival as a kid. So I've held the game fondly enough to acquire it both on Android, and hacked onto my PSP lol

I think my favorite melody would be the boss fights with Robotnik from Sonic 2

I'll probably get around to it though as I am currently trying to play through every single sonic game (whether bad or good) just for the fun of it. Currently working on Sonic Advance now that I beat Sonic '06.

I love all the zones in Sonic 2. Even Hill Top Zone. Casino Night Zone has my favorite music, followed by a tie between Chemical Plant Zone and Aquatic Ruin Zone. I did a metal cover of Chemical Plant Zone with my old band and made an ambient trance remix of Aquatic Ruin Zone that I really liked, but there's just no improving the Casino Night music. The level I least enjoy playing is Metropolis Zone, but that's only because of how long it is, since it's basically a few other scrapped levels thrown together. It's an interesting design though.

I will never be able to forget Sonic 1. I did like Sonic 2, and 3+K was astounding in scope, but Sonic 1 is special to me.

I would put Sonic CD over it, but the level design isn't nearly as tight. The stages are just too spread out and Wacky Workbench in particular irritates me to play for longer than a couple of minutes.
