I have a Twitter account, but I find the way that the site works really hard to understand, for some reason. I see that it's a fundraising activity at least.

Yeah, it's a fundraising activity for the Child's Play charity. You friend a twitter bot and it assigns you a job for each crystal, and you can ONLY use those classes.
