What is the one piece of advice you would give your ten year-old self?

I'd tell myself to not spend so much time in the future worrying about fitting in with the popular kids because they all turn out to be wastes of space and the batcavers will end up being your friends in the end anyway.

Would have made my school experience a lot happier!

Start exercising and cutting back on what you eat now.

Yes. Because I was a chunky kid, but that was around the time I started getting fat. My childhood and teenage years were a nightmare because of my weight issues, so yes.

I'm torn between "Major in something good" and "Play more games so your backlog doesn't run away from you"

Kiss Jenny, again and again, or you might possibly have ended up kissing women now.

I would have told myself a great number of things. But that would involve wanting to change a lot and I wouldn't be who I am now (completely effed off in the head) or have my kid if it weren't for all that stuff.

In four years you are going to join a website called EoFF and the people there are crazy. Meet more of them.

Doesn't have to be major life advice, silly. Anything will seem small in context to your present self appearing to your ten year-old self, anyway!

edit: oh I guess I didn't read that properly cause I didn't have a major lol

Well in that case...

Be as 'weird' as you want. It'll be trendy in a few more years.

I wish I could tell me past self (even like... 3-4 years past!) to be the leader/instigator/planner/person-who-DOES-things more.

I feel like I wasted way too much time, and missed out on too many experiences or friendships, simply because I was too passive and waited for amazing things to happen to me rather than making them happen for myself. In Elementary School/Middle School, I wish I had been the kind of person who would seek out the new kids and befriend them. In High School, I wish instead of complaining about the crappiness of the volunteer programs available, I should have started my own damn club and organized things myself. In College, I wish I had been the one to throw the parties, instead of waiting to be invited to one.

These days, I've been waaaay more proactive. But I almost feel like I learned this lesson way too late in life.

Take vitamin D supplements, excercise more in your teen years and also go outside more in your teen years. Health is more important than technology.

She's going to die soon, but it is her time. It's okay to feel bad about it, but do not let it dictate your emotions and responses to certain situations for years to come. This advice also applies to future ex girlfriends.

Maybe I'd say "go to university when you get the chance, yes when you're looking at it you'll think experience is more important than qualifications when it comes to getting a job, but it's more about the cue to leave home and develop yourself socially and you'll realise that afterwards."

Or maybe I wouldn't, as then I'd be a different person, and although I'm a bit spineless and in a bit of a rut, I still sort of like who I am.

Maybe I'd tell myself "in 20 years time you'll be into My Little Pony" just to see what my reaction would be :D.
