I'm not going to turn this into a meetup thread like all the other millions of meetup threads in General Chat at the moment but I just want to point out that the Rocky Mountains is the best place to live in North America and possibly the best place to live in the world.

Where are my fellow Rocky Mountain bros?

It is quite beautiful indeed, and I would love to visit again. I wouldn't mind living there if the opportunity ever came up, either.

I miss my mountains. Every new place I live feels naked without them. :(

I've only been to Flagstaff. I hate driving up and over.

It's all rocks and junk until you get to the top.

And your ears pop.

I wanna go back and go skiing in some real mountains. The east just doesn't have the same feel.

I was born outside of Denver and lived intermittently throughout my childhood in that area. It was definitely my favorite place I've lived.

Look at all those stupid trees with needles instead of leaves and then look at this ancient magnificence:

YEAH I'M IN YOUR THREAD, DISSIN' YOUR YOUNG WHIPPERSNAPPER MOUNTAINS WITH INFERIOR TREES. EAST SIDE FOR LIFE, BITCHES.

But no, it's super beautiful and I want to go there someday.

EDIT: And yes, smartasses, that road is ancient. It's older than you anyway, smurfers.

Foa knows! Eastsyd4lyf! I prefer the green mountIns to you young rocky things. Mine are ancient and once were as tall as the himilayas! They are said to be one of the oldest mountain ranges on earth :p

FOA's mountains, and Shorty's got "hills". Which is generous in its discription.

Yeah, go back to your rocks on steroids while I revel in greenery and bugs and superior animals.

:colbert: guys this isn't a debate thread, it's a thread for us Rocky Mountain bros to talk about being Rocky Mountain bros. The rest of you guys bugger on off to your hills or deserts or wherever you live.

I guess it's too much to ask to not sexualize every goddamn thread we have on this forum.

There's always snow on them! Always! Even in the summer. But this is not a summer mountains example, so do not confuse.

You can't even see the tops! They are covered by clouds!

and again a thread about "how great is this" turns into "my opinion is right and yours is wrong"

I'm sorry that even a mere mention of Shakira is sexual. :( Off-topic. ~Shorty

I don't know people can't love all mountains! They're great in different ways, guys.
