My bibliophilia is getting the better of me at the moment, so here is a thread where I encourage you to post book covers you think are particularly poignant, beautiful or interesting.

I know it's a collective of books but they're all just so pretty.

That 1984 cover was the first one I thought of, but I see you already included it. Otherwise, I generally don't care about book covers, and most don't stand out to me.
I did like the cover to Stephen Hawking's updated A Brief History of Time, though:

And then there's Neal Stephen's Anathem, which I may like just because I like the book so much:

As for interesting...
Both of the covers of Invisible Monsters (yes I have two copies and one is signed and also the fact that Chuck Palahniuk wrote it may have something to do with my wanting to read it) and Sellevision made me want to read them, purely based on the fact that they caught my eye more than the other surrounding books. I was not disappointed; Invisible Monsters is one of my favorite books ever and Sellevision is a damn fine book as well.

I feel like I have a better contribution but I can't think of it right now, so... I always preferred the Swedish covers for the HP books (http://i.imgur.com/tHn9X.jpg) over the original ones I saw. Over most other adaptations as well.
