Anyone else play this game? I love it :jess:. I stole/borrowed the Xbox 360 from my boyfriends work just to buy this game and play it and it is as great as I remember. It's been over 3 years since I played it and I didn't get too far on account of giving birth and then having to take care of a baby and such.

Great things about the game:
-Excellent music
-Large cast of mostly likeable characters (I like large casts of characters)
-Beautiful locations
-Fun and engaging battle system
-Short but interesting history facts
-Good duration

Less than good things about the game:
-The story is fun, but not particularly deep or original.
-Kinda cheesy
-Somewhat linear

My favorite part of the game is the stunning locations. Here are some examples:

This makes me sad that I no longer own the game. I should do a clean sweep of my room back at the parent's house to see if somehow it got left behind.

The music is so wonderful, and the history facts about Chopin's life are all fascinating. Also, even though the story isn't necessarily deep, but the premise behind it is fascinating to me somewhat, and I've often wondered what kinds of things I would dream while in my last moments of life. The stuff of Eternal Sonata would be an awesome dream to have, haha. (I think everything I mention there is established within the first cut scene, but I figured I'd spoiler it just in case.

I hope you can find it :jess:. I would recommend this game to anyone who likes RPGs btw.

My boyfriend pointed out that it's a shame the game wasn't more popular because they put so much detail into the areas. From the water when it rains, to the clouds moving, to lizards crawling on walls, cracks in sidewalks, there is so much detail put into it and the end result is gorgeous.

The battle system is very creative and interesting. In case anyone reading who hasn't played is curious, here are some of the things about the battle system:
-Aside from character level ups, you have a "party level" that slightly changes how the battles work. It starts out easy, and gets more difficult as you progress.
-Your turns operate on a time limit (starting 5 seconds, changes with party level) and attacks increase your time gauge slightly.
-There is a light/dark aspect to the fights. Characters special attacks change depending on if they're under a light or in the sun and if they're in the dark, under clouds, in rainy weather, in the enemy's shadow, etc.
-There is a chain gauge called echos that when built up allow you characters to do more damage with a special attack.
-There's a good range of different characters with different skills. For example, on can take pictures that you can sell (took 5 pictures of a boss, worth 9000+ gold each). Another one is an archer that deals more damage the further away she is (and it's a lot of damage), she's also a competent healer, and if you like more involved battles, you aim her bow yourself (which I am not very good at).

I never actually finished this. Moved house and no longer had the 360 the save was on and I didn't want to re-do like 40 hours of gameplay. :(

The ending made no sense, you're not missing out on much. ;)

I was looking for a decent RPG a while back so I tried this one out. It's a cute game and the battles are fun, but I found the characters to be somewhat flat and I had no real interest in the story. The locations and music are beautiful, though.

I bought it when it came out, played it for a couple of hours, haven't touched it since. I will one day get back to it.

I think EoFF used to have a section for ES, or at least one was in the works. I wonder what happened to it...

I didn't get the game because I don't like real life in fantasies. >.> (aside from names of various creatures perhaps)

It wasn't really real life in any way. xD

I have not played this game. I heard that it was very easy to play through and offered little in ways of giving the player a challenge. Did you find this true or false?

I found it pretty easy, but not boring.
