NOT WHAT YOU THINK.

Do you prefer spending an afternoon by the sea, or a lovely evening in the forest?

Gonna go with forest here. The downside is mosquitoes but that's better than the downside of the ocean, which is water.

I love them both. I'd probably choose ocean, though. It smells amazing and salty and cold and fresh. The sand feels so soft beneath your feet. The sky is open and you can see for miles. You feel small, yet immortal.

I live in a forest and it gets very claustrophobic as you can't see the sky, and there are bugs. And it's really hard to walk barefoot unless it's just a yard that's been treated and stuff.

I'm going to the ocean for the first time in 6 years in two weeks and I can't waaaaaaaaaaait.

Anyone who likes the ocean is a huge loser. Mermaids, seahorses, octopi... what the hell is that all about? No thank you!

Why isn't there a poll for this?

I need to see in percentage form how many of you are objectively wrong.

Meh. I like the forest - with -fresh water- to swim in somewhere. A lake, pond, stream, river, whatever. I like to go camping. Although I did get used to the wide open sky going through Texas, NM, & living in AZ and rather enjoyed it, so getting used to trees again was a bit unsettling.

The sea, of course. But I live in a forest now, and it's the second best thing.

Ocean at night time, not to swim but to look at the stars. Otherwise, forest all the way. I always get cuts on my feet when I step on the rocks and what-not on the ocean floor :/

Bullshit, you live in the mountains.

No, darling, there are no mountains here. I live in a forest.

mountains and forest: MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE?

I walk around barefoot all the time. Did it in my hometown - running through the woods on our property like a banshee, in the desert in the middle of July, in Texas in July ('cuz there really isn't much difference anymore), Here. idgaf.

There's rocks in the lake, too.... Again.. I go barefoot. I hate water shoes.

I don't give a trout as long as it's my day off and it's a nice day.

The ocean can suck it.

You may suck it

No, you have weird taste.

Ocean, hands down for me. It would have to be a really beautiful forest for me to want to live in, with lots of cool water features anyways.

I just love the water! Okay, minus sharks and crap. I'd probably rather be near some kind of grotto or spring, but between these two... Ocean.

I'm allergic to all kinds of tree sperm, so I'm going to go with ocean.

RAZE THE FORESTS!

Both have equally lethal creatures in them. I'm going for Space.

I'd have to vote for Ocean due to my being a Hayfever sufferer. Last time I was in a proper, proper forest was Poland we went to the lakes there. Surrounded by the massive forest that stretches on and off across most of Europe (it becomes the Black Forest of East Germany once it crosses the border which was like 100km if that away) after 2 hours I looked like Rocky Balboa after the fight with Apollo Creed. That was with Antihistamines. This is also why I often choose hot arid countries like Egypt as places to visit for a holiday.

Yeah 'cuz there's totes no such things as aliens. Or lack of oxygen. Or black holes.

I will never go in the ocean again. Megalodon is out there eating boats and crap. There's no way, dude.

Says the Australian...

Jiro
08-06-2013, 07:25 AM
Yes, exactly. Space, being not-Australia, is far safer as a general rule of thumb. I thought everybody would understand that

EDIT: And if Space is just like Australia but on a larger scale then we are all smurfed anyway.

One would assume you'd be used to it by now.

Also, in space you would totally be dependent on an oxygen source, among other things, to survive. TOO SCARY.

I consider both to be suitable dumping spots for excess motor oil and human waste.
