Lightning's Closet is getting even bigger!

There has been a lot of news about Lightning's wardrobe in Lightning returns lately. And yes we have even more news! Even though Lightning is a world-saving-badass, she still plays dress up like any other girl.

Over at the Japanese site Game Watch (http://game.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/news/20130919_616157.html), they were able to capture more images of Lightning's outfits at the Tokyo Game Show.

Skills will go along with the outfits. Such as the Dragoon outfit will come with the classic "jump". The Black Mage outfit will come with a magic ability called "Rapid Fire". This is just a few of the skills.

Check out the new outfits! The have been mixed and matched about with accessories but you can see the general concept of each outfit.

What do you think about all these outfits? The girl in me is squealing in delight. The long time fan in me is having X-2 flash backs.

I have no interest in customizing Lightning's outfit for any reason than increasing her versatility and prowess in battle. But I assume that's part of it too.

The Blue Beret in Gorgeous Admiral (and, specifically, the way Lightning is wearing it) is giving me Persona 4 Flashbacks. Lightning cosplaying as Naoto is just a brilliant idea.

It makes me wonder, if they give us as many options as it seems, just how many character outfits from other games will we be able to recreate?

Also, the red one is reminding me of Ash's "traditional evil conscience female uniform" (http://www.misfile.com/?date=2005-09-20) from Misfile (which is a fantastic webcomic, BTW). Sure, it has some actual armoring, but still... Well, at least we can color it and modify it to become Erza Scarlet's Fire Empress Armor.

Currently, Erza (http://fairytail.wikia.com/wiki/Erza_Scarlet) has about 100 types of armor and 200 weapons. I wonder if Lightning is going to beat her?

Since they both use a very similar magical system of augmenting their abilities with magical armor, I'd always figured Erza was what inspired the costume ideas in this game.

Hey Lightning, Kain Highwind just called and he wants his Dragoon armor back... Just kidding, you look badass in that armor! And in the Red Mage outfit as well, I think that one is my personal favorite. :jess:
It come to my attention that Lightning has too many outfits already. Let the fan artists dress her up, I think some of my ideas for her are taken by SE, dang it! XD Oh well, it doesn't mean I can't draw her wearing those outfits. ;)

Im still waiting for the final fantasy dating- sim. At least we can dress her the way we want her to for now... but it looks like we will have a dating sim in a few years. Oo

FFVII had a sort-of dating sim, since you could pick one of four candidates depending on what you do earlier in the game.
