I just got my NES working (though I do think I need to get a new pin connector or whatever it's called). I've been on a huge old school kick lately and have been wanting to play some new old games. Anyways, what are your favorite NES games (or any pre-PS1/N64 stuff really)? I'm kind of looking for game suggestions, but I'm mostly just interested in what old school games people like.

NES games I own:
Mario 1, 2, 3
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
World Cup
Beetlejuice
Zelda 1
Star Trek
Tetris
Metroid
Castelian

RBI Baseball
Tiger Heli
Tetris
Castlevania
and Final Fantasy, although it is a very hard game.

The Legend of Zelda
Dr. Mario/Yoshi/various other great puzzle games

The Marios are obvious so I won't mention those :p

That reminds me, I actually owned Dr. Mario at some point. I wonder whatever happened to it. I think my next project will be to see if I can get my Turbografx working again. I've been in the mood for Bonk and Aero Blasters lately.

And I'll likely be the only one here to mention (And one of the few who even know what it is) Legend of the Ghost Lion. Pretty damn old school RPG on the NES, nothing mind blowing, but good fun none the less.

Ufouria! An open world side-scrolling game, pretty cute. :)

Oh, speaking of forgotten RPGs, I nearly forgot Destiny of an Emperor. It's an old RPG based on the Three Kingdoms era in China. If you've read Romance of the Three Kingdoms or played Dynasty Warriors, Dynasty Tactics or ROTK then you'll already be familiar with the story. It's not bad, from what I can remember, but might be hard to find.

I can't believe I forgot DoaE. It's one of the best RPGs on NES. It's too bad we never got the sequel over here.

It took way too long for someone to mention DoaE. And no mentions of Wizardry makes me sad.
