Oh man, I freaking love objects. From buckets to computers (I wonder if there are computer buckets?) to door handles. All great. List off some of your favourites!

EDIT: Beds and cushioned chairs are also fantastic.

Watches are lovely. Mechanical ones especially.

I have a cushion shaped like a triangular prism that supports my back when I'm sitting and it's great.

Pens. Watches (though not nearly as big a fetish as Pike).

I have a fixation with glass, porcelain and generally breakable objects. Bottles specifically, I looooove glass bottles of all shapes, colors, designs and sizes. I like admiring doorknobs and dresserknobs with metalworking and designs of different generations. I love trinkets and tchochkes and baubles and little things you might find in curio cabinets. Little boxes or pillboxes or jewelry boxes of all shapes and sizes. Tiny containers of any kind in general are adorable. Anything of or related to the sea or maritime/nautical-themed (seaglass and glass floats are a home run).

I quite like drums. All sorts of them. They're marvelous.

And big boxes made of metal with four wheels and a whirly-gig to make them go!

We'll see her on an episode of hoarders but the crew will be using dive gear and underwater cameras to get their footage.

I imagine them dressing in the old school diving gear. With the fish tank helmet.

I doubt she'd allow anything else near her.

This is an extremely good thread. It's very clear to me what things are objects and what things aren't. I personally have a deep love for some objects, and a deep hatred for others. For instance, and I hate human beings, but my favorite objects are women.

Oh man, Paul has it. Finding that perfect pair of scissors that fits comfortably in your hands and makes you feel like you could go on a-chop-chopping for hours...

Bliss.

This Thread makes me think. Do you love the objects because of the way they look or because of their function?
I don't think I have objects I love in general..besides books. But I don't love all books. Oh well I love teddy bears. Yeah I guess that's it. Teddy bears.

I used to like stuffed toys, or any toys that would remind me of my childhood. I had a large collection of "vintage" (90s?) my little ponies. But I recently decided that there is no point in collecting them and just gave most of them away, and only kept maybe 2 or 3.

My other favorite object would probably be a mug. I kinda collect these too... in fact, it is turning out to be a bit of a problem...

Yup.

So wondrously cute!

I also really love my blanket. My oversized soft cotton t-shirts. And my wedding ring.

My computer is right up there for number one. I'd say my AK is a close second. Then probably my new fancy (not really for the rest for the world) 40 inch Sony LED TV.

Some of my sweaters and all of my pajama pants...sooooo comfy.

Also my laptop and my desktop computer along with my seinheiser headphones.

Probably maybe least important, but my favorite pen because it writes dark enough and it's smooth and doesn't make my handwriting smudge.

Books. I can't stress how much better it feels to be holding a proper paper book over reading a digital copy on my laptop. I may succumb to my needs and buy myself a kindle soon. It'll be a sad day but the cost of paper books and the fact that moving house with a library worth of physical media is awkward to say the least means I may have to accept the facts of this matter.

Recipes.

it's not an object really, but I don't care.

I'm a recipe hoarder to the max. I have probably 150+ recipes saved in Opera Mini, a large handful of cooking blogs & sites bookmarked, 43 eCookBooks that I've either downloaded from tuebl or bought in the play store, 2 big notebooks full of stuff I copied from Food Network, The Chew (on ABC), or the Saturday morning cooking shows on PBS, with a bunch of pages ripped out of magazines folded and stuffed in the divider pockets, & 5 or 6 physical cookbooks .

My ultimate goal is to go through all of it , sort it, type up & print the stuff I'm interested in, & compile it into 1 gigantic book.
