My absolute favorite is:

Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata (FULL) - YouTube (http://youtu.be/4Tr0otuiQuU)

But another good contestant (which I only got to know 3 days ago):

Beethoven's Tempest Sonata mvt. 3 -- Wilhelm Kempff - YouTube (http://youtu.be/LfjD-DQ5REk)

What about you? What is some of your favorite classical music?

I'm always a sucker for Clair de lune by Debussy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIsQPdC9YnY).

I am also a huge Chopin fan. Here are a couple of my favorites of his.

Fantasie Impromptu (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvm2ZsRv3C8)

"Raindrop" Prelude (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_6APTb3RNQ)

Generally his Nocturnes are my favorite pieces, but I can't think of any specific names, and Youtube was just pulling up videos of his complete Nocturnes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V60USaluxGA). But here is that if you want an hour and a half of piano music.

Gymnopedies No. 1 by Erik Satie

As for something more recent, I've been jamming to the main theme from Eyes Wide Shut on repeat for a few days now.

I'm assuming we're talking about all "classical" music from the 19th century and earlier as well as any modern classical-style pieces, and not just the Classical period.

Bach, J.S. Partita No. 3 in E, BWV 1006 - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waxat-_tRH8)

Sorabji: Fantaisie Espagnole (1919), Performed by John Carey - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBdyq5lNn8k)

Andres Segovia Capricho Diabolico, Op.85 - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9eKTwPpe9Y)

Danza Mora(Tarrega) by Carlos Ruben Gomez - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6GM-LxG9zo)

J.S. Bach - Inventions # 13 - # 15 (BWV 784 - BWV 786) - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_aQWK-Uc20)

Also seconding Fantasie Impromptu. I love Chopin.
