Lightning's FATE event starts this week!

That's right, the Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII FATE event starts this week! The start date will be from 11/14/2013 and extend to 12/9/2013, Square Enix has announced. (http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/topics/detail/fe833c29e2b2348e155524a0e60d271adb19db70) Lightning Strikes!

There will be four chapters in this FATE event at the following times and dates:

Chapter 1: From Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 12:00 a.m. (PST)
Chapter 2: From Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 12:00 a.m. (PST)
Chapter 3: From Monday, November 18, 2013 at 12:00 a.m. (PST)
Chapter 4: From Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 12:00 a.m. (PST)

Each chapter will extend the entire event period so if you can't get into the event until next week, you'll still be able to participate in all chapters. They will remain unlocked for you.

Here are some details regarding the chapters.

For the Winsome:
Levels: 12 or above
Quest Location: Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks - Peter Winsome

Seeking the Scoop:
Levels: 26 or above
Quest Location: Uldah, Steps of Nald - Dural Thara

The Knight's Passage:
Levels: 38 or above
Quest Location: Old Gridania - Kipih Jakkya

Wonder and Lightning:
Levels: 45 or above
Quest Location: Old Gridania - Kipih Jakkya

The rewards with these quest are Final Fantasy XIII's Snow and Lightning outfits as well as various weapons styled in the FFXIII fashions. Yeah, I'll definitely check it out. I'm not a huge Lightning fangirl by any means, but I do love new content and if it's "you can only do it now" kind of stuff, I tend to get it done.

I definitely want to participate in this! I'm only level 5 right now I believe and I just started playing yesterday. I was a little worried that I couldn't catch up in time, than I see this on one of the pages you linked:

"This event is scheduled to make a return in February 2014 for the North American and European release of Lightning Returns: FINAL FANTASY XIII."

That's a sigh of relief for new players like me :thumbsup:

What do you get for the level 45 quest compared to the other ones? I'm only level 36, I don't know if I can gain 9 levels in 2 days. :(

Don't worry, Unne, the quests will be back around the timing of the Lightning Returns release. :)
