Who is your "main" character?

Obviously the game focuses on the 4 warriors of light. But I would say it's generally considered the fighter is the "hero" of the group. It helps that the alternate FF1 costume in Dissidia is the fighter as well.

I tend to make the thief my main character. My first venture with this game was Final Fantasy Origins for the PlayStation. As a big Legend of Zelda fan I liked that the thief looked like Link and so I went with that.

I always went with the warrior too. Except for that one time I made the White Mage the leader, just 'cause.

Sadly, the warrior or tank is usually considered the leader of any group. It's like that MMOS too..unless of course I'm there, and then I'll insist the healer be the one calling the shots ;)

It's kinda like that default gender thread that was going on, but for video games groups.

Most of the time it's the warrior, but sometimes I don't have one of those in my party! If that's the case, either the thief or red mage ends up being the leader. I gravitate towards the thief.

It would always be the Fighter/Knight, even if I didn't always have to have them in the front. Only other choice would be a Red Mage/Wizard. (I like swords.)

Blackbelt or Thief, though it's true the Fighter would be in front that didn't make him the leader, just the wall of meat and steel.

White mage is my hero, but I can't even use her as the overworld sprite because it affects battle position and the strongest character should be at the top because then they absorb most of the attacks.

Is that really true? I've always found my 2nd & 3rd characters to take the most hits.

50% of incoming attacks go to whichever character is in the first position. (25% to second position, and the other 25% divided between 3 and 4)

Usually it is just that you notice the hits going to your 2nd and 3rd characters way more. :D

I've always thought of the Fighter as the leader of the group, though the Black Mage has my favorite overworld sprite.
