Do we do system we actually owned or ones that were readily available for play? I lived with separated parents and lots of step brothers who owned systems but I never did.

So for myself it would go:
Mac
Gameboy
PSone
N64
PC
PS2
Gamecube
xbox
DS
PS3

I was able to play these since step brothers owned them
NES
SNES
Genesis
Sega CD

I loved playing Marathon 1 & 2, Wolfenstein 3D, Sim City, Math Blaster Mystery, Sim Ant, Sim Earth, Full Throttle, DIG, CLose Combat and so many more. I still have a ton of them. I used macs from probably 1989 until MACOS 8.6 then they went to 9 and I went to PCs.

I've owned at some point or another:

NES
SNES
Genesis
N64
PSX
PS2
Dreamcast
Gamecube
PS3
Wii
Game Boy
GB Color
GBA
PSP
DS

and I presently have access to a 3DS though it's not mine. And of course there's the PC. I've had one constantly with various operating systems since we were all running DOS. I haven't been without a PC since the third grade maybe.

Right now I've really got the urge to buy a PC-Engine too.

GB
N64
GBC
GCN
PS1 (obtained in 2011)
Wii (obtained in 2013, own zero games, use as combination Netflix machine/Gamecube)
3DS

I've played Genesis, GBA, and DS games on emulator (along with games from most of the above systems), and of course I've played PC games just like everyone else here.

I was pretty Nintendo loyal for a long time. Once I went to college I got a PS2 so that I could play both PS1 and PS2 games. I've been on the Sony wagon ever since.

The Dreamcast really is the best system, but after playing PC-Engine titles with a friend almost everyday for the fall, I must say I think it may come in a solid second.

For sure, PC's not so much as everyone has probably owned several in their lifetime but handhelds most definitely fall under the console umbrella.

Loony BoB
12-16-2013, 12:08 PM
Ownership means I can't include my neighbour's consoles, which I often relied on. :p I grew up on PCs, so have thrown them in... can't hurt.

PC (186/DOS)
PC (286/DOS/3.11)
PC (386/DOS/3.11)
PSX
PC (486/DOS/95)
PC (Windows ME)
PC (Windows XP)
PS2
360
PS3
PSP
GBA
DS
PC (Windows 7)

My neighbours were the ones who owned Master Systems, Mega Drives and Nintendo 64's during those times and I would regularly play on them, buuuuuut I never owned my own one.

We had other handhelds but they weren't major consoles... they only had in-built games, no cartridges.

My brother was the one who owned the NES, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn and Sega Dreamcast that I got to play and/or watch him play on. I don't remember much about the Saturn and only a couple games stand out from the Dreamcast. NES and the Genesis is where most of my childhood moments come from before I started to own my own consoles.

So many twos...

I went from NES to Genesis/Megadrive to PlayStation and stuck with the brand through all 4 iterations. I also bought a N64 and Gamecube towards the end of each respective life cycle. I gamed on Mac very early on but have been PC since first getting one in the mid-late 90s.

On the handheld front I had one of the fat original Gameboys, then a Gameboy Color. I skipped the GBA but bought a DS when the Lite version came out and a 3DS earlier this year. I checked out the Sony side when the PSP Go released in 2011 and just got a Vita two weeks ago.

With the exception of the systems traded in with intent to upgrade (and the one stolen 3DS), I still own everything else on that list. I'll go ahead and mark the ones I don't have any more in italics for easy recognition.

The crazy part? From number 12 onward, I've purchased (or won [DSi XL] or earned [PS4&XBO]) all of those systems myself. Yikes. :3

Buy a coaxial splitter thing and connect it to your TV's antenna input thing, then search for the NES "channel" with your TV afterwards.
