Your favorite temporarily playable characters

The list as I recall is:

Seifer
Laguna
Kiros
Ward
Edea

At some point during one of my playthroughs I made a separate save file for the Dollet mission so that I could go back and play as Seifer whenever I wanted.

I always enjoyed the Laguna flashbacks and was very intrigued to see Edea use her limit break on someone that wasn't me!

Who did you enjoy using. Did you want them to join the party permanently? Who would you have liked to play as?

I would have liked to see Fujin and Raijin even for one battle. I imagine a scene where they turn to Seifer and say "enough is enough" followed by a boss fight where they join Squall.

Laguna, Kiros, and Ward are definitely my favorite temporarily playable characters, with Kiros at the top. Laguna is my favorite personality-wise, but there was always something satisfying about hearing the sound Kiros' blades made when he attacked.

I almost wish you could have had a Moomba join your party in the D-District Prison. That would have been pretty fun. It also would have been nice if you could have had other SeeD (like Nida or Xu) temporarily join your party to fight during the Galbadia's attack on Balamb Garden or even during the whole NORG thing.

You can also play temporarily as Selphie, Rinoa, and Zell, I believe. Maybe even Question and Irvine? I don't remember, it's been too long.

I am fond of Laguna.

Edea and Laguna for me. I always felt like they meant to do something more with Xu and that other guy, but they just wasted those two.

How are you defining temporary, anyway? I think that, at the very least, Laguna, Kiros, and Ward are significant enough and are used long enough to be more than just temporary -- I mean, you don't control Squall and co for the whole game either :monster:

I liked using Edea, the most. Her character design is one of the more interesting, and it's always quite fun being able to have a boss character in your team. Even if she isn't quite as fun to play with as Beatrix in FFIX.

Seifer was awesome playable, but he makes a better villain imo, and Edea was nice but a little bland imo.

Not really much of a difference once you know when it is. The animation just doesn't give it as easily away.
