Hello all Final Fantasy VIII fans! Did you know that today is the handsome always-cheerful happy-go-lucky man with the machine gun and Squall father's birthday (01/03)?

Yep, Laguna's turning 42 or 59 years old today and still he's a dashing fellow (in my own taste that is :p). So, during this weekend or whenever, let's celebrate by talking about him, drawing him, writing fan fics about him, whatever how we celebrate characters' birthdays! I for one, did a quick character sketch of him:

LOL Me too! I mean, it's obvious when looking through genetics and biology, and it's amazing when they play a wild card regarding of their polar opposite personalities. Nevertheless, they are still related by blood. :jess:

He sure gets a lot of nicknames around here. That would be awesome if SE made a FF8 spin-off game with Laguna as a main character, mostly a prequel about him and Kiros and Ward way before the main events of the original FF8 game. If that's the case, then please SE don't make a cellphone game out of it.

Very true. It's either SE is lazy at making quality video games these days (with exception of LR: FFXIII and Kingdom Hearts) or many people loved to play games on their cellphones so darn much.

I personally will rather play video games on a gaming system than on a cellphone. You'll get a bigger screen at the comfort of your own home, and you don't have to squint your eyes so hard in contrast of a cellphone.

As much I would love to see the prequel of FFVIII starring Laguna as a main character, I highly doubt that SE would make that happen, cellphone game or not.

I don't see how it is appealing, but I've only played little apps like Scramble, Words with Friends and Dice with Buddies on my cell. I'm a little scared how FFVI remake is gonna turn out, but slightly curious. Not fond of the graphics, but swiping about for game play is going to be a new experience for me.
