Just a quick show of hands, but who's actually played through this game in its entirety and which version? I have twice; GBA and iOS.

Just once on the PlayStation - the Origins version. I did try with a NES emulator before Origins was released but gave up as not everything was translated in the ROM.

I didn't get far into this game at all - Origins version as well. It just didn't grab me in the same way as the first one did. Some day I need to go back to it and see if my opinion have changed any.

Just once, FFOrigins version. I did it once to say I did, but I doubt I'll ever be going back to it.

Once Origins version. Not my favorite, but then again, I really didn't super care for a Final Fantasy game until 4.

I'm replaying Demiforce's version.

It's not bad at all. No typos that I notice immediately. There probably are some, but I haven't noticed any. The big deal is that NES graphics turn people off or something? I guess I just grew up with them and they're ok with me.

There are many cheat codes (http://www.gamefaqs.com/nes/563414-final-fantasy-ii/faqs/9791) available for such an old game, things like max stats, 65000 gold. I use them because the leveling system is broken. Here's the catch: there are no max HP codes listed that I know of, so I'm hovering around 300-400 HP at the moment. We'll see how it pans out, I guess...it's of course still possible for my party to be mashed to a grotesque slimy pulp once I get to the later stages of the game, and it has already happened a couple of times on the Warship.

I've beaten the GBA version. Loved it.
