Do you think Lightning Returns will have a happy ending?

The Final Fantasy XIII saga has dealt with some pretty rough stuff, but the main characters always seem to come out the other side in an okay position -- even if it takes until the next game or so. Do you think Square Enix would dare having a bittersweet ending for Lightning or any of the characters, or will everybody get to celebrate their happy ending?

I think it will have an ending considering it's the conclusion to the XIII saga. Part of me just feels like Square is incapable of doing a sad/bittersweet ending for a series. X is an example of a game where they seemed to be able to have a nice bittersweet ending, but X-2 kind of undid that. Of course, the audio drama seems to be undoing the happy ending of X-2, so you never know.

I'm also kind of basing my thoughts on the structure of the series so far. XIII had a happy ending. XIII-2 took that deus ex machina happy ending and made it be the reason for the world being smurfed in that game. This game also leaves on a really dark note with Serah's death and chaos seeping into the world. You have everything getting impossibly dark with the second game, that I can't help but thing Lightning Returns exists just to put everything right again. I think LR is going to be a pretty dark and heavy game in general, but I feel like everything will end up being happy at the end.
