I was just curious what everyone's opinion on this was.

Nobody appears overly concerned when they see a man with armpit hair but when it's a woman... everyone goes ape shit. Why should men be excluded from this? It's definitely a strange place to have a tuft of hair so why don't we all shave it off?

In my opinion, some men definitely need to address this... the kind of men who look like they've got Bob Marley in a headlock.

What do you think? Do you let it grow free or do you remove it at the first sign of stubble? This goes out to both men and women.

I keep it trimmed pretty close. Its use is now defunct, but I just feel weird with it gone completely.

Man-scaping? I trim up certain areas, because it can get kinda annoying.

Amazingly, I don't have back hair. It's pretty much everywhere else.

I've been begging Iceglow to let me wax his chest& belly.

He won't let me.

Dudes who manscape -everything- though are just weird. I knew a guy that did that.. He was like "Absolutely no hair anywhere except my legs." - which includes arm pits, chest/stomach, and the penal area. That was just going way too far, imo.

I don't mind armpit hair on dudes.

Yeah I trim it every now and then as I notice a difference in odour when I do. As Quin says, cutting too much or all off feels god damn weird.

I haven't shaved my armpits since before the start of the beard growing competition. I probably will at some point, but don't see any compelling reason to at the moment, and I enjoy having one less thing to do in the shower. As a mammal, I also find soft hair is preferable to scrapey burny stubble. If guys prefer to shave/wax themselves, they are welcome to. Woo, body autonomy!

I shave my armpits more than anywhere else because they get extra stinky otherwise. I shave my legs and other areas about twice a week, except when I'm on my period I don't shave anything until my period is over.

I've never met a man who shaved his armpits to my knowledge. The only man-scaping I care about is chest and back. I am not a fan of chest or back hair. Chest hair is okay if it isn't like a chest afro, but I prefer smooth chests.

I've been in serious relationships with 3 men and they all seem to care about one kind of shaving on a woman over the others. I had one who didn't care about leg hair too much but armpit hair was a huge deal, and I had another who didn't care about armpit hair but cared about leg hair a lot.

How are guys even supposed to reach to shave their back? That seems ridiculous, and especially so to get rid of something you can't even see in the first place.

I'm fortunate to have no chest or back hair, little armpit hair and I only have to shave my face about once a week.

And to think in school I used to be jealous of those with facial hair...

Thats how I am. Or was, I guess. From above the knees up was shaved. Upper legs, groin, stomach, chest, and armpits all void of hair. I like the smoothness of it. But a couple of weeks ago I decided to stop shaving anything except my face. The hardest part of not shaving is the nipple hair. Oh god how I hate nipple hair.

'Cause we're pretty much brought up on the premise that body hair looks natural on a guy but unnatural on a woman so people freak out when they have it but no one bats an eyelash when it's on a guy.

I don't shave my armpits, and thankfully I don't have that much excess hair under there anyway. Only place I really shave is my face, and that's enough of a hassle. I'm not too crazy about the idea of having to shave other parts of my body and I refuse to shave this face until it warms up. The weather here in Kansas City is too damn low!

French girls are the same as French guys, so naturally yes.

You guys don't know suffering until you have had a gigantic mole in your armpit which makes shaving the biggest hassle in the entire world.

I'm very sensitive to shaving in one area so I developed a big blister there and now I have to shave over and around the blister and that's not pleasant.

Being an actual unapologetic heterosexual male my armpit hairs have remained untouched by blade.

On women I prefer waxed in most places but if not it's not a clincher. We're all human, hairs happen.

Since it looks like this is a general body hair thread now, I prefer myself hairless below my head.

I don't really care what dudes want to do with themselves. I generally find male body hair sexy for some reason, ie chest hair, etc. Might raise some eyebrows if someone I was dating wanted to shave his legs but uh, I don't think I'd make a fuss.

Depends on the season....I'd rather not have a bunch of hair in the summer.............sweat clinging in it, yuck.

I don't grow chest or back hair (shock horror) or facial hair v. well as you all know but fuck I kind of wish that extended to all of my body. Being hairy is horrible. It makes it fucking impossible to get sports massages or put on strapping tape or just generally not sweat constantly because of the fucking insulation heating up my body FUCK

also fucking ass hair who thought that was a good idea get out of here

I don't really like having much hair at all either but it's helpful enough in the winter I guess.

Ugh. Ass hair is the worst hair. I wish there were an easy way to make it go away. Luckily I am fairly not hairy as well, so I never had to deal with it too often when I was doing my shaving bits.

As to what I like in others, I don't really give a hoot. I just think girls should have shaved legs because that makes them smooth and I like to feel them. I could just rub my hand on a smooth lady leg all day. The rest isn't a big deal.
As for guys, I like all sorts, just not the super hairy ones. Don't be more hair than man, por favor.

me and my buddies like to get all denuded of all body hair (my one bud has alopecia and just fits right in) and slither over each other's bods in a big pile. get some oils together for the dudes who dont secrete their own and just have a big ol' slitherfest on some tarp in the basement (outside when its warm)

I shave mine. The initial discomfort goes away once you get used to it.

And yes, nipple hair is a blight upon society.

i shave my pits, legs, and ladybits. I haven't been shaving the last one for a while as it can be a pain to maintain, but I'll be working on it soon.

My husband has the perfect amount of body hair, he's not too hairy but he's not babyfaced either. I loves it.

Armpits are so much nicer without hair. I feel bad for guys that it's not socially acceptable for them to shave them, though I suppose it balances out since it's not socially acceptable for me to have hairy legs even though there's no benefit to shaving them.

I have like no ability to grow body hair for the most part, so my pits aren't exactly thick forests of hair or anything.

I don't like them but my laziness wrestles with my dislike.

I do like armpit hair on women though. :bigsm:

Have any of you chicks ever gotten a bikini wax?

I'm terrified of getting it done, but I hate shaving down there, so I kinda need to.

oddly enough, my legs don't get very hairy. Like right now, I probz haven't shaved in like 3 weeks and there's still barely anything there. Same w my pits. I shave those pretty regularly tho cuz seeing stubble there drives me insane.
