Where you like to eat when you have extra dough to blow on dinner out?

I'm p sure I won't be cooking for like a year after I get to NYC next week 'cuz I'll be insistent on trying every restaurant ever up there.

But. Here in Nashville, there's quite a few local spots I really like.

Menu (http://www.hotstufftn.com/Menu)

Yes. I know I mentioned Hot Stuff before... But I can't help it. They're amazing.

Raz'z Restaurants - American Cajun family restaurant in Smyrna and Nashville, TN. (http://www.razzrestaurants.com/)

Raz'z is another great one.. I've only eaten there a handful of times, but it's just so yummy.. It's Cajun/Creole with a twist .. This place has been featured on Food Network before.

Menu (http://www.fatmos.com/Menu/)

Only eaten there once, but damn that was a good burger.

The Thirsty Turtle Sports Grill (http://thirstyturtlesportsgrill.com/)

This used to be a sub/hoagie/grinder spot called... I forget now. It was a damn great little spot. Then it shut down. Sad face. It was also supposed to be my first job, but they'd hired too many people.

Anywho. Some people came in, bought the space and the space directly next to it and opened up Thirsty Turtle Sports Bar/Grill. Again, only eaten there once, but I had the carnitas and bf and I split an order of crab legs & oysters and watched the NBA finals with a good friend of mine (I got drunk, naturally).

and finally, there's Toots:

Toot's Restaurants - Good Food and Fun - Murfreesboro, TN - Smyrna, TN - Bowling Green, KY - Loveland, OH (http://www.toots.com)

They've expanded into Ohio and Kentucky, but my ex and I got take out from there often.. Ordering like 3 orders of fried frogs' legs at a time to bring home. The crab legs are also great as well as their fried clams, philly cheesesteak sandwich, and buffalo chicken sandwich (I'm a sucker for buffalo chicken anything hehehe).

And of course there's always the taco shops that my ex and I would frequent for lunch.. Tacos Al Pastor FTW, yo.

Talk about local eateries here, bitches!

There was a local place where I used to live that served (from what I could tell) pretty authentic Vietnamese food, and I miss it. I miss my bahn mi and nhung dam, and other stuff. :( So many veggies in that food!

There was also a little Japanese place next door that sold really good bento boxes.

I also really like O'Charley's. They make great chicken pot pie.

A few months back I found myself with a lot of money, so I decided to take my mother out for a really nice meal on her birthday.
Until then I had never been to a really nice restaurant, but I told her to pick anywhere she wanted in town, with money being no issue. She picked this very, very nice (and expensive) Italian place called Giulianos, and we both had an incredible meal (the wine was excellent).

It's really nice to splash out once and a while, because if you pick the right place then money really can buy a brilliant meal.

There are great restaurants basically everywhere. But it's always nice to be somewhere with several of them, instead of only 1. I almost always favor Asian food of some kind (mostly Thai, Indian, and Japanese).

There's a reeeeaaaaly good Thai place down the road from me. The chef is from Thailand, so you know it's authentic. And it's in your best interest to not order things as spicy as you normally would! There's a brewery not too far from me that I don't just go to for the beer, but the pizza....OMFG this pizza is amazing! It's made from all fresh ingredients. There's also Bagger daves, its a build your own burger place. They have an outstanding beer selection. I go to On the Rocks occasionally and its just a small bar but their food is really good and the kitchens open until 1 AM. Also, Karaoke. :3

Me and the missus go to Strada quite often in Wilmslow here in the UK.

Strada - Wilmslow - Main Menu (http://www.strada.co.uk/menus/wilmslow/main-menu)

We occasionally venture to the posh part of Manchester, Gusto in Alderley Edge. Apparently, a lot of Man United players go in here but I've yet to see any of the fuckers

One of my personal favourites though is a gorgeous one not far from my house called Damson. Everything on that menu is just food porn.

I'm lucky enough to live in an area with a tremendous number of amazing restaurants. Everything from mom & pop shops, to world famous Michelin star places. So we get to eat pretty well. I can't even begin to list all the places we like to eat at. Although our tastes do lean more towards the casual places rather than the fancy. Right now, I really have a hankering to go to this place for some tapas and paella: Home | Esperpento (http://www.esperpentorestaurant.com/)

Cracker Barrel, but they don't have one out here anymore. Otherwise, IHOP.

Cracker Barrel...

I just hate the whole Hillbilly atmosphere and how crowded it is every time I ever go there to eat.

That green tomato soup they had in December was bomb as chuck though.

I haven't been there in several years, so it's been a while. Do they still only serve chicken fried steak?

Is that from those weird kumato's I just saw in the store the other day or is it green ketchup?

I don't really go out to eat that much...haha work the trade learn the trade.

But the place I like going to the most is probably the Mandarin, you get to eat as much meat as you want! (my diet is supposd to be based on high amounts of protein.....of course some of the meat is just fatty). If that counts +P ...I only remember going to to Jack Astor's and some weird place that only serves kebab's as actual restaurants in the past few years.

What? Kumato tomatoes? dafuq is that?

No for realzies- it's made from green tomatoes, which most of the time are just unripe red tomatoes- they're hard and are popular for slicing & frying down here in the south. There are several varieties of heirloom green tomatoes that will stay green when fully ripe, though.

@foas: lol Iz okies. My dad lived in a 1 bedroom shack in NE KY when he was little little. :D
