Datz and the Grand Inn Fiasco (Late Chapter 3 Spoilers)

We rescue your butts, save the Shieldbearers, basically win your war for you, save the town, turn it into an airship, invite the people back even though they all want to leave...

And now you're charging me for sleeping at the inn.

The entire bloody town of Grandship is empty. The thing carries 300 Lifeboats, and has served as a city for thousands of years. There has to be both room and lodgings aplenty.

But to get any rest, we have to pay you 50 pg.

No. Not happening. We have an airship back. I'm just going to go fly over to Caldisla, where the lovely innkeep is actually grateful for our aid and lets us stay for free.

Nope, not me.

And 50 pg is 50 pg. It's money that could be better spent in other places (like Norende).

I'm just overall reminded of the Highwind (in fact, the game's vehicles very much remind me of FFVII, with an airship that turns into a boat, and a larger airship with a free interior). But healing was free on the Highwind. It even makes more sense to make healing free in this game. From a gameplay point of view, the Grandship gives you instant access to Caldisla, where you can get free healing. From a story point of view, the city is empty, has thousands of beds, and is being run by you. There is no reason to put a cost on the Grandship's inn.

I have memories involving video games from around the age of 5, and didn't ever start using the internet until close to 10, and never anything forum related, but finding out things about games I didn't know before. :p

And part of these memories is complaining about things in Video games I didn't like. XD

50pg to sleep in my own airship? Not worth it.

"What if the world was going to end if you didn't?" Any world that makes you pay to sleep in your own airship, not worth saving!

Also, worth noting that while Caldisla eventually charges for a nap, Yulyana's place stays free forever.
