For all the boring bland music of the year, there was a lot of really good music that was released with a lot of retro-vibes.

Daft Punk's Random Access Memories and Bruno Mars's Unorthodox Jukebox were albums released entirely dedicated to being retro-throwbacks. And while I, bizarelly, liked Mars's Treasure (Nothing else really), and as much as I enjoy Daft PUnk, it goes to another for me.

Franz Ferdiand's Album last year, at least what I've heard of it. It is everything great about Franz Ferdind doing what sounds like 70's Rock.

Give me a while, and perhaps I'll decide Daft Punk was better as far as Retro Music, considering I just started listening to these albums, but I doubt it. I have a huge thing for Franz, one of my favorite bands. Definitely my favorite still making music. (I see Kamelot as a different band with their new lead singer/songwriter, but that's another story. :p)
