Talk about my new PC!

So far WIndows 8 has been really easy to get the hang of, not really understanding the complaints with it to be honest. :p

I can feel the fans on it running, and they are quite as all hell.

Both in terms of size and power this thing is a monster compared to my last one, and I love it.

After my file transfers finish, I load on steam, and give New Vegas a run, see how nice it's going to go for me!

Only thing I'm really missing is a SSD.

You're running a tower really close to what I built a few months ago. It's great. I didn't drop very much on the graphics card, though. I was building so I could play around with virtualization and not video games.

Finally got around to being able to play NWN2, though, which is super duper cool.

I know what you mean on the quiet thing. My first computer was a Microsoft Dell and that thing was so noisy when it was running at times it felt like it was about ready to explode. Now I have an HP from Nebraska Furniture Mart and it's as silent as the grave. It's quite the improvement since I can hear myself think now.

the setup I run right now has 4 120mm fans and 3 140mm fans. I hardly hear anything from it.

The last PC I owned was a Intel 80486 back when I was a kid. 16 Mhz of raw speed.

I used to play Monopoly on it.
