52482Deus Ex: The Fall was released on Steam on March 18th! Deus Ex fans will remember that this game originally only had a release on iOS phones. If you're behind the times like me and only have a basic phone, this PC release comes as great news.

The story runs parallel to the highly popular Deus Ex: Human Revolution, both taking place in 2027. The Fall is also a sequel to the novel Deus Ex: Icarus Effect and the game features many of the books characters.

The price for this game is $9.99, and for a limited time you'll also receive the original Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition as an added free bonus. This classic original game was first released on June 22, 2000.

Buy one, get one free. Not bad, right? Another fun way to look at it is you're essentially getting two games for 5 dollars each. As a fan of the Deus Ex universe, are you going to pick this title up? Did you get it already for iOS? Here's a look at what Steam has for their overview of the game:

Deus Ex: The Fall is set in 2027– a golden era for science, technology and human augmentation, but also a time of great social divide and global conspiracy. Powerful corporations have seized control from governments and command the drug supply needed by augmented humans to survive. In this chaos Ben Saxon, a former British SAS Mercenary who underwent physical augmentation, is desperate for the truth behind the drug conspiracy. Betrayed by his private military employers, the Tyrants, not only is his own life at risk but for all augmented humans, time is running out…

Developed in collaboration with the original DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION® team at Eidos-Montréal and N-Fusion; Deus Ex: The Fall includes full Steam Achievements, Mouse & Keyboard control configurations, and Control Pad support.

Sounds cool. Sucks that it isnt a full fledged deus ex game.

Well, it gets pretty close. You still have all the same basic options. You can still choose the playing style of either gun toting or stealth. You get to upgrade your augmentations and you also get fully explorable environments along with social and hacking skills. Unlike some mobile games, the 3D world of Deus Ex did not get turned in to a 2D platformer.

Really the only downside some would consider is the main story only taking an average of 6 hours to beat. But you can tack another hour or two on top of that if you delve into the side quests and really explore the areas. It may not be as long as Human Revolution, but it's also just a fraction of the price as well.

Well, it's actually currently 4 times the price I bought Human Revolution for.

I'll probably buy it with some Steam credit when it gets down to $2 or whatever.
