The full patch notes went live today for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn! Patch 2.2 Through the Maelstrom.

Here's a list of pretty neat things that are being added:
Glamours - You can change current armor to look like other armor sets. You must complete a quest to unlock
New Dances and Emotes- Step dance, Harvest Dance, Manderville Dance, Ball Dance, Change pose
New Main Scenario Quests - the questline for Through the Maelstrom was added for watery fun!
New chronicles added for the New Era - Second level of coil of bahamut
New side story and side quests added
Kobold and Sahagin beast tribe quests have been added
FATES were tweaked - Some were scaled down to the amount of players at the FATE among other tweaks
New Dungeons - The Lost City of AmdaporThe Lost City of Amdapor, Halatali (Hard), Brayflox's Longstop (Hard), The Second Coil of Bahamut has been added

New Trials - The Whorleater was added! Hard and Extreme modes. Thornmarch (Extreme) was also added
Housing - Basments were added!
Merchants - You can now add merchants to your house.
New hair styles- Lots of pretty hair styles have been added
Fishing - Big fish can now be fished up
New minions and Mounts - A few new minions and mounts have been added. Who doesn't love creatures for friends? :D
Most importantly because I personally love harvest moon:

Gardening was added - Gardening was added where you can tend to plants at your house and produce crops. You will need to gather seeds, soil and fertilizer but if you take care of your plot, you'll grow some of your own crops as a reward! Certain items will only be available through gardening.
