View Full Version : Okay, so I'm new.

I've lurked over shoulders for a long while, lurked on this account for a while longer and then this week I bit the bullet and contributed in the creativity corner. So, I figured if I'm going to go beyond my lurking ways I should probably say hi.

Hi!

Freya
03-28-2014, 07:23 AM
HELLO! I lurk a lot too. But that's cause I browse from my phone when I'm at work when I shouldn't be so I guess it's a different kind of lurking.

How are you doing today? Besides feeling like frolicking in the creativity corner?

Miss Mae
03-28-2014, 07:34 AM
Doing good, thanks. Somehow managed to score the weekend off work, so just chilling. Trying to decide whether I should be doing uni study or playing video games.

Two new members who are writers in under three months? EoFF has been blessed. Looking forward to reading some of your stuff!

It seems like Final Fantasy has a high percentage of fans that are writers. I shall publish a study: Final Fantasy Causes Authorism.

Miss Mae
03-29-2014, 02:37 AM
Might get some interesting results from that. I don't think I know a FF fan who isn't a writer.

Well I guess if I was going to find one, here would be the place to do it. Nice to meet you too. :)

Slytherin is definitely the way to go.

And damn, I cannot be ~mysterious~ if people can see through my non-existent disguise. Now look - he's mad. :P

Miss Mae

I would be on whichever side presents a better argument. I definitely wouldn't follow Voldemort out of fear though, like a lot of them did - if I chose that side it would be well-calculated. I feel like I'd be intelligent enough to know that Dumbledore poses a bigger threat than Voldemort though, regardless of what shenangians the Ministry of Magic was getting up to, so I'd probably stay on the 'good' side.

What are your thoughts on the upcoming David Foster Wallace biopic starring Jason Segel and are you willing to drive to Michigan with me to burn the master copy

Miss Mae
04-02-2014, 08:26 AM
Interested to see Jason Segel attempt something outside his comfort zone. Don't worry - I didn't say optimistic or excited or pleased - just interested. You know, the way you can be interested in motor sports for the sake of the car crashes.

Speaking of cars, getting to Michigan would take a lot more than driving for me unless you have developed a car capable of converting into a boat when I get to the ocean. If you have developed such a thing and you would like to provide me with this device (preferably for free), then I am willing to join you on your quest.

Funny you should mention this, I have actually developed a car that can turn into a family of sea turtles.

The journey would be slow but ultimately successful.

There's a bit of a sweet spot you have to hit with how many turtles create the transport device. The journey is slow and I will get hungry.

I am not a writer. In fact I am really bad at it and I don't enjoy it.

Miss Mae
04-02-2014, 10:20 AM
I shall keep this in mind.

However, on a related note, you don't have to enjoy writing to be a writer. I often feel like headbutting my keyboard and rethinking my life choices instead of finishing my pieces.

Hello and welcome to EoFF! :spin:

I hate writing. I do it anyway because I am a masochist. :shobon:

Miss Mae
04-02-2014, 10:37 AM
I feel that is the way with a lot of writers. The grind hurts sometimes, but still we grind.

Ayen

I love and hate writing all at once.

Miss Mae
04-02-2014, 10:59 AM
I love writing when I'm producing something I like. I'm not sure that's ever happened though.

Six is an adequate number for an average adult. The journey will require one of these.

It is used to store all the food you will need for your journey as well as disguising you from passing boats.
