Guess when this game will finally be released! The Eventual winner will get a banana sticker unless they are dead from old age by the time the game comes out :D

Q1 2015

Reason: KH3. They said they wont work on KH3 until they are near done with XV since they share a lot of the teams. They've been working on KH3. We've seen fairly (few months ago) recently a KH3 news/gameplay trailer thing. So I don't forsee XV from being too far off. And Yoshi-P is now part of SE Committee and he pushed a game out, successful mmo out, in 2 years. Normally a MMO takes 4. I think this will be a positive push for XV.

March 19th 2015 for my birthday.

They will give me one for free (because it is my birthday) along with a PS4

I am going to say April - 2015. Cause Shion took March already.

Sometime in 2015. Can't miss the numeric title and the year lining up :D

The second half is more likely purely because The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is scheduled earlier that year. I think, like me, there are a fair amount of overlap between the RPG audiences and SE wants to clear the runway for a huge success.

Although I could be wrong. FFXIII came out in the same month as Mass Effect 2 and still went on to sell 7 million copies.

On the eve of Third Impact.

You know that actually happens midway through the new movies, so the metaphor is kinda lost now?

Sometime in the next 10 years is my conservative bet. I'd take a punt at late December but that's probably too early. January 19ish or something, 2015.

I'm sincerely hoping they'll give us a date this E3. I had a dream today that I got it for Christmas :(

We don't talk about the new movies. :doublecolbert:

But technically Third Impact does happen during the climax of The End of Evangelion, which takes place in 2015/2016. That's what I was going for.

The 15th of some month in 2015 sometime. The trick with the 15 and XV lining up is a marketing gimmick if ever I saw one. That's assuming of course, they are ready by then. Wouldn't do them rushing the game to completion to ensure that the dates lined up.

That's what I was thinking. So, I think it will be out just in time for Christmas shopping, November 15, 2015. :cat:

I wish FFXV didn't come out this year. I wish they either kept Nomura as director or gave Tabata another two years to work on the game. :(

With the project being revealed in 2006, giving Tabata another 2 years wouldn't have happened. I get that there was a change in engines, scope, and systems to keep it brief. Going beyond a 10 year time period without a full game to show would have killed interest more significantly than I can imagine. Now if the reveal hadn't been announced until say....2010, then yea 2 more years would have worked out better in that scenario.

Nomura was getting spread too thin between giant projects. A good number of people have been waiting on KHIII as well.

Yeah I understand why SE had to take Nomura off of the project. He only had something like 25% of the game finished in 7-8 years of development. They didn't want to keep putting off the FF7 Remake or Kingdom Hearts III so they had to pull him out of XV. It makes sense for them as a business to do that.

Still, I wish Nomura got to realize his vision. His plans for XV were massive. It would have certainly dethroned VII as the best Final Fantasy had he been able to complete the project. So many awesome story elements, twists, and an overall darker theme would have made for an incredible and groundbreaking game.

XV is just such a weird game. All I can ever think about is what it could have been. What it should have been.
