So we have a thread about the undeniable sexiness of Cid Bunansa, but XII is filled with rugged males, and another Cid. Who appreciates Al-Cid's suave ways?

I'd personally like him more if he weren't voiced by Brother. I'm not saying he's a bad actor, I just cannot unsee that creep...

I liked when he just casually said YOUR DAD IS DEAD in front of a little boy and then afterward is like "...huh, maybe I shouldn't have done that."

Margrace was a fun character who got so little screen time its damn near criminal. At least he became playable in TA2

Yeah. Unable to change a job where changing jobs is a crucial game mechanic.

Hey he powered up with an all female entourage.

In a game where 2 out of 7 races are considered female.

Sorry, Wolf, but your argument is sorta invalid, because Al-Cid still sucks in TA2 :colbert:

Al-Cid's cameo appearance is great because it hints at the much bigger world beyond the solitary continent where FFXII's story takes place. Even though we never get to explore Rozarria or any of the other territories, I like knowing that they're there, because it hints at a vibrant, varied collection of cultures with all kinds of untold stories and histories. Throughout the game, so much happens just within the one corner of the world where the main story unfolds. Imagine how much more could be going on around the rest of the world? Leaving possibilities open like that is quite tantalising, and a pleasant change from earlier FFs where a 'nation' can be defined by a single town with maybe 20 NPCs.
