A new announcement has been posted. This is the official discussion thread for the announcement.

From April onwards, EoFF will be giving away a video game to a forum member every month! And it's easy to get involved, too - all you have to do is post, post, post!

First and foremost I'd like to thank Marshall Banana and Necronopticous for donating a stash of sealed games to EoFF for giveaways. That was massively generous of you and I hope every winner this year remembers to pass on their thanks to you guys.

Now, I'm sure you all want to know how this giveaway will work, and what games we're going to be handing out, so check out the details below!

The Rules
1. After the end of each month, the postids of all posts made will be randomly sorted and the top eligible post will be the winner.
2. Eligible posts must be in a public forum (this includes Eyes on Each Other).
3. Eligible posts must not break any rules (eg. porn/flaming) or be considered overly spammy (eg. "+1 post for the contest, woo yeah!"
4. Staff are eligible, although posts in the staff forums will naturally not be counted.
5. Banned members are not eligible.
6. If the announced winner does not claim a prize within 72 hours, the next placed post will be promoted to 'winner'.
7. If the user does not wish to give out their address, they can gift the game to another forum member of their choice provided that other user is happy to give out their address.
8. The winner will be able to select their prize from the list of games we have available in our prize stock.

Okay, something I realised probably should have been mentioned before: Uh, what games will be region locked to the Americas?

Well that's pretty awesome! Curious about region locking too, but I like the look of those games

Is it bad that I had to look up what most of these were?

These were all donated by an American, so it's possible that some of them may be region locked. :( I'm not sure how all the different systems work.

*cough* should totally make only FF forum posts count towards the contest instead of general forum stuff *cough* Sorry, I think I have a cold or something, better take some meds for that and go to sleep. :shifty:

I almost want to second this, but both sunnyside general stuff and subterranean fantasy dungeon forums are each only half of the equation. We need both. Like you need me, and I you.

Gonna have to disagree here. Slapping video game prizes onto that section isn't suddenly going to give us more to talk about in the FF forums than we already do, especially when said person doesn't remember the games that well and doesn't have time for a refresher course.

We're all equally valued members, aren't we? I'm all for encouraging activity in the gaming forums but segregating that isn't going to make a worthwhile impact.

Oh, geez, I forgot to announce this, but earlier this month Rez09 won for the month of April 2014 and he will be shipped the game of his choice, Dawn of Mana for the PS2. :)

Would it be possible to donate more games to the prize stock? =) I like to be generous, and everyone on here seems like they're worth a plethora of gifts. =)

Might also be worth mentioning that games I donate will be, usually, PAL versions for my fellow European/British subjects.
