Greetings, my fellow nerds. I've been brought here by none other than the famous Shorty for purposes unknown. (She's my sister, so she sort of bullied me into it...Okay, maybe not.) Yes, yes, I'm sure you can tell I love Star Trek based on my name and all that jazz but Final Fantasy has always been my first love. (You never forget your first fandom.) VIII was the first I ever played when I was young. I remember spending hours on it just battling away even when I had no idea what to do as far as storylines go. I've also played VII, IX, X, X-2 and recently started XIII. Honestly I love XIII but sometimes the storyline is so all-over-the-place that it's hard to keep track of what's going on. Anyway. Basically been a Squaresoft/Enix freak as long as I can remember.

Also, for those of you with smartphones, you should check out an app called "The Chronicles of Inotia III: Children of Carnia". It's a free RPG I stumble on that I think you'd like if you're a fan of Final Fantasy. I'm sure there are previous version as well as later versions but that's the only one I've played, and I love it.

I do indeed love Final Fantasy XIII. Lightning is sort of an unpredictable character though, and as I haven't finished the game yet I can't tell if she's like that on purpose or it was just poor character development.

I can't say if VIII is my favorite, honestly. It used to be but then I played IX so I'm sort of torn between the two.

Shorty got me into it. It's an awesome podcast set in the fictional town of Night Vale where you have sort of spooky things happening. I'm having trouble thinking of a good description for it, but I can say that everyone's lives are empty without Night Vale.

VIII was my very first FF game also!- I remember being so entranced by the cut scenes and how beautiful they were and the characters and whole general set up. I had not even a clue that it was an entire franchise. Actually I kinda did. I remember the 1 Korean kid in my grade drawing pictures of Moogles in school and being like "WTF is -that-!?" and stuff.
