Alrighty, let's generate some head canon here.

Let's imagine characters from all the FFs are characters in a regular high school anime setting. What do you think each character would be like?

I want to see Dr. Cid Bunansa as headmaster. He's pretty sadistic towards the students, but sometimes, when he's in a good mood, he can be reay nice. Rumor has it he talks to himself when he's alone in the office. I dunno, is Venat his secretary, or do you have a better idea? I figure all the other Cods should be somehow related to him. Also, his son Balthier is a senior and quite the troublemaker. Cid blames his girlfriend Fran for having a bad influence on him, when in reality it was her who was drawn to his badboy exterior. (Also, does Fran have bunny ears here?)

Tidus is captain of the school... something team. (Do we keep blitzball, or replace it with another sport?) The team is called the Aurochs, although no one knows what an aurochs is.

We need some of the older characters to be teachers. I don't know why, but I kinda see Strago as the art teacher, with Relm being a prodigy in his class. He encourages her to keep drawing and hopes to make her famous one day.

So what do you guys think? Let's have some fun with this. The more characters we can fit in here, the better. It might be interesting to see characters from different games to interact with each other in this setting. Also, do you guys want to eliminate all fantastic elements altogether, or keep some?

Let our imaginations run wild and maybe later we can write some fanfics based on this

Squall is the emo and Rinoa has the big crush on him and he pretends he doesn't like her but he enjoys having her around.

Cloud is the loner who will only talk to Aeris but Tifa has a crush on him and does sweet things for him to get him to notice her. Tifa meanwhile has a lot of friends and is pretty popular.

Kimahri is the stoic loner character.

Vivi is a little dweeby but is still popular in his own way.

Zidane flirts with all of the ladies.

Garnet is the prom queen/homecoming queen/valedictorian.

Steiner is the hall monitor that nobody takes seriously.

Freya is a female athlete of some sort.

Yuna is the shy quiet girl who gets really good grades.

Lulu is the goth girl.

Wakka also plays sports.

Zell is the athletic kid who eats too many hot dogs.

Selphie....... runs the events committee >.>

In a High School AU I think this is more like how Dr. Cid would be.
http://i.imgur.com/rYwX3Z3.png

Anyway...my thoughts.

Cloud should be a teacher. He's whopping 21-year-old. He is already halfway to retirement by FF standards. He's the Gym Teacher I reckon but not a very good one. He means well but he just doesn't have that ALRIGHT MAGGOTS gym teacher voice. He is popular among the kids for his laid-back personality but he is affectionately mocked behind his back for saying "let's mosey" when calling people out of the locker room.

Tifa would be Gym Teacher for the girls. She's about the same as Cloud but instead of mocking her for her speech patterns all the girls are jealous of her....yeah.

Classroom rumors abound about what. Mr. Strife and Ms. Lockhart get up to.

Ynna will be an all A-student, 4.0 GPA and whatever else because of the pressure of her parents and big brother Wakk and big sister Lulu. (kindly pressure but pressure nonetheless) However when she's out of school and with her friends Rikku and Paine she gets up to all sorts of mischief.

Rinoa is the Prom Queen and everyone from Tidus to whoever else hits on her but she takes an interest in that sullen loner boy everyone just avoids People think he's in a gang or on drugs or whatever but he's really just not very sociable.

Ashe needs to be a teacher...of what I don't know. History or Politics maybe.

We can change the ages to fit our vision, so yeah :D

Ashe can totally be a history teacher. I can see her getting all passionate about past dicators!

Also, can Gilgamesh be a janitor?

Oh, and Kuja is the star of the school theater. He's kind of a bitch to everyone and a real primadonna.

Oh, and Basch is the strong and silent type that is super popular with the girls and keeps getting love letters but he's unfazed. His twin Noah is incredibly jealous of that, because he gets no such attention despite looking identical.

All the characters in FF1-3 are the ones you wrote "Have a good year" in their Yearbook ie. you don't know or care about them because they have zero personality.

That Clair girl is always causing trouble, picking fights with boys and stuff to prove her womanhood. Also look at her sister wrong and you're liable to get your nose broken.

Hope is pretty cheerful and cool because his mom is alive. Think of it like Shinji - put him in a happier setting and you have a pretty nice kid.

Vanille and Fang are often repudiated for their PDAs with each other.

Okay, I think we need more teachers. We have Ashe and Strago for now, and maybe Cloud and Tifa, though we still have two options for them.

How about Terra? Though I don't know what she would teach.

Also, we need to use villains and minor characters, too, just to make it more interesting :) Kefka as a teacher could be interesting, but help me out with this, cause I can't really figure out how that would work. Jessie, Biggs and Wedge could be those two guys and a girl to someone, kinda like Shinjiro had Touji, Kyousuke and that class rep in Eva. Also, Biggs and Wedge have a couple of siblings with the same name (or maybe those are surnames?) who also attend this school.

Wakka is the religious guy on the sports team who says a prayer before every game.

Tidus is the student who transfered from another school to play sport for them

That makes sense. And he'll keep being ignorant and asking people stupid questions, monologuing, etc. I like it.

Tifa is unintentionally popular, despite being a kind soul. She doesn't mind the popularity too much, though, because without it people kept getting her confused with Rinoa and Garnet all the time. Cloud has a crush on Tifa, and she puts up with him but finds him a little awkward. Eventually, she feels similarly about him after he tells her about how he's going to be a hero etc. But all the other kids think Cloud is a dork and Seifer keeps beating up on him for being a "bigger chickenwuss than Zell", which infuriates Zell to no end, causing him to get into scuffles with Seifer and his ever-present friends, Fujin, Kaijin and Fighter. Quistis, rolling her eyes, will try to set order to the place but in the end it's hopeless. Aeris recently joined the school but is seen as a bit of an outsider. Quickly, she becomes very popular amongst girls and guys alike because of her outgoing personality. Tifa isn't sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. On the one hand, it means she doesn't have to deal with all these people scrutinising her, but on the other hand she feels a bit lonely because all her friends spend a lot of time with Aeris now... not to mention that Aeris seems to similarly treat Cloud really nicely. But not even close to how nice she treats Zack. Headmaster Cid and his absent minded deputy, Galuf, are having trouble with some of the teaching staff. While Cid is a great teacher and works hard with his assistant Mid, for example, others such as Cid can be awful to work with. The latter is constantly getting his assistant Shera to do all the work while he leans back on his chair and smokes a cigarette. Meanwhile P.E. teacher Barret got mad at his team losing to Kimahri's well drilled group and shot all the basketballs to shreds. This indirectly led to some issues at the local train station after star player Sabin was left without much to do. This kind of thing attracts all the wrong kind of attention and at parent-teacher interviews Cecil and Rosa were really worried for the safety of their kids. Meanwhile, Princess Lenna and Princess Faris have been at loggerheads yet again, the sisters both having a slight crush on some well-off boy named Edgar (at least he wasn't perving on Ms. Ashe again). Apparently he has made plays for both of them and the aftermath is not looking good. Lenna has resorted to talking to animals while Faris is dressing up as a guy every day, strapping down her boobs and all that. They called in the school counsellor, White Mage, to talk to them but neither would listen. Faris even insisted that she would only talk to Minwu because girls just don't understand her, or something like that. Minwu, however, has been too busy treating Gau after school chef Quina fed him something that smelt rather awful...

...this could go on for some time.

Sephiroth
04-15-2014, 06:12 PM
Biology: Prof. Dr. Crescent, Prof. Dr. Gast, Prof. Dr. Hojo, Prof. Dr. Hollander, T. E. L. X-Death
The Dr.s are passionate about Genetics, X-Death likes Botany.
Languages: T. G. Sephiroth, B. K. Kuja
With his mimic ability Sephiroth has an overall understanding of all languages - ominously.
Law: J. M. Noah, Drace, Zargabaath, Ghis, etc.
Are very strict when it comess to teaching how important rules are.
Philosophy/Literature: Mr. Rhapsodos, B. K. Kuja
Genesis is very passionare about reading with his students and interpreting.
Music: P. v. Muir, B. K. Kuja, C. Palazzo, Ms. Carol, Mrs. Heartilly-Carway
They all have their very own ear for music. Kefka actually more enjoys the cry of his students when he mentally devastated them.
Chemistry: Rikku, C. Palazzo
Rikku likes all kind of elements, Kefka is more the type of showing deadly combinations that rivers can be polluted with.
Geography: T. E. L. X-Death, Ms. Gainsborough
X-Death likes to talk about wandering continents, Aerith has that strange feeling about Earth no one understands.
Art: Ms. Arrowny, B. K. Kuja
Relm's judgment is merciless. When someone messes up she draws a copy of them and let it hunt them down. Kuja likes abstract art.
Informatics: Prof. Dr. Hojo, Ms. Rui, Ms. Rui, Ms. Tilmitt, Mr. Estheim
Hojo has that weird dream of living with a virtualized consciousness, Shelke is not better and thinks one day at least your mind can be partly connected to virtual reality, Shalua, Hope and Selphie are PC geeks.
Technic lesson: Cid
There was no student that ever beat one of them in any lesson.
Religious education: M. Guado, M. Mica, Dysley
They are very eloquent and know many things about what they are talking but there is always that suspicous atmosphere when they talk.
Physics: T. G. Sephiroth, Mr. Estheim, Ultimecia
Sephiroth is interested in astrophysics, the power you need to put in some blast to destroy a sun and while his people laugh about him he very well knows they cannot calculate his own power while he puts it in that equation and Hope and Ultimecia are some crazy people talking about metaphysics all the time. Ultimecia has some problems with students that want to tell her causality paradoxes won't happen in the first place.
Math: T. G. Sephiroth, Prof. Dr. Hojo
Economics: Some random NPC
History: E. V. C. Solidor, Mr. Ballad, Ultimecia,
They are very passionate in their own style and talk about things as if they are or were involved.
Psychology & Education: Sephroth, Prof. Dr. Gast, Prof. Dr. Hojo

Problem students:

Cloud: Sexually confused, subconsiously confused and tries to copy his idols. Not very good at Psychology and his teacher Sephiroth who he's talking to does not really help with his personal problems but intends to make it worse as he partly is the cause. His two teachers Tifa and Aerith tell him it is okay if he likes crossdressing and oily baths with bodybuilders even though they both like him very much. Also he is missing on class tour because he gets sick all the time like some of his comrades.
Gogo: Always copies what the guy next to him writes in tests.
Zidane: Womanizer who often goes way too far with his passion. Gets less slaps from Sarah than he deserves.
Setzer: Addicted to gambling, does not question morally wrong things as long as he profits until some guys show interest in him and show him the right path after he wanted to bring some girl to date him even though she didn't want to.
Eclair: Cares for her younger sister since their parents died. Has some problems with her sister's man-to-be but actually she likes him and knows they can depend on him. Beats up everyone who causes trouble to her family and has a male fanclub who sings this for her even though they never get her laid no matter how much they wish:

Gonna copy Sephiroth's idea [ Hope that this is alright ]

Biology: Going to choose Dr Gast for this one

Languages: Rikku, being Al Bhed and everything. Sometimes a little too silly, and doesn't give out enough homework, though she's still adored and respected.

Law: Cyan, very serious and old fashioned, sometimes because the jokes of the students since he's easy to get emotional, but by the end of every year, he always wins his students over. During reunions, past students always come back saying that he was their fav teacher.

Philosophy/Literature: Genesis, each year, each student has to study his favorite book Loveless.

Music: Julia Heartilly, due to her piano skills and her writing that famous love song Eyes On Me

Chemistry: Kefka, he's a little more sane, though sometimes he gets carried away, most of his students believe that he would totally use his chemistry skills to do something completely nasty.

Geography: Aerith, since she basically knows about the world and everything around it.

Art: FF VI Relm, because there's nobody else ?

Religious education: Yuna, Wakka would be more into teaching sport and don't really see Lulu as a teacher. Very kind, very understanding, and even to students who don't believe in Yevon.

Math: Sephiroth, can picture him wearing those nerdy glasses too. Cannot stand the literature teacher.

History: Ashe, she would be very serious about it too, and if you fool around her in class, she'll kick you out, and you'll never be allowed to return, unless you make a very serious genuine apology.

Psychology: Quistis Trepe, can see her doing this, and being good at it, until she falls in love with her student Squall, and fails to understand him, and then second questioning her work, knowledge and skills.

Drama and theater : Kuja, duh. Still narcissistic, though he's extra soft on his younger brother Zidane. Just like Ashe, if you don't take his classes seriously, you're gone. If you fail or slip up, he's extra harsh on you, believing that you're being a insult to the arts.

Physical Education : Wakka would make a terrible teacher since he can't win a single game, so going to say Zack Fair. Most girls take his classes, because they're in love with the teacher. Mr Fair doesn't mind at all.

Cecil- Starts off as the troubled students who fails all his classes, but then turns around, and starts getting A+ scores, and loved by the teachers. Best at religious studies.

Kain- Starts off as a A+ student and only friend to Cecil but when Rosa and Cecil start dating, and becoming a couple, Kain snaps and ends up leaving school, becoming a dropout.

Terra- Shy, misfit and usually bullied by harsher students, has a huge fear of the chemistry teacher Kefka, until she starts making more and more friends, and then she no longer fears him.

Cloud- Wants to be popular and cool, like Kain and the PE teacher Mr Fair, but he can't. By the second half of the year, he ends up befriending the teacher, and becomes more cool. Cloud has a crush on the geography teacher Aerith, but ends up finding out that she's dating his role model.

Squall- That anti- social student, that doesn't say a word usually. Best at Psychology class. However he soon to begin to date the daughter of the music teacher, and becomes a different student, much more brighter, and ends up making alot of friends.

Seifer- Squall's only friend, however he's lost within his own fantasy world. Best at literature class, and Genesis loves his creative writing stories. However Rinoa dumps him, worried that his fantasy dreams were making him a little creepy. Begins to hate and loathe Squall.

Zidane- Complete playboy, and pretty chill, and usually doesn't do his homework unless it's his older brothers class; seems to be the only one who can get on Kuja's good side. Starts off as arrogrant, but then becomes the one who starts befriending and standing up for the misfits.

Princess Garnet- Awarded most beautiful girl at school, and is nicknamed princess because of it. She's worried about her mentally unwell adoptive Mother, and her studies, and would prefer to care less what a bunch of teens think of her. Ends up in a relationship with Zidane.

Tidus- Student from a different country and different school, and befriends the religious studies teacher Yuna, and ends up falling in love with her, however they can't, making their love forbidden.

Hope- Used to be a happier and confident student, until his mother passed away, now he yells, shouts and becomes completely emotional. Becomes friends with Claire Farron. Usually doesn't do his homework, and the teachers ( expect Sephiroth, Genesis, Kefka and Kuja ) understand. Thanks to Claire and other friends, becomes a stronger person and starts getting better scores on tests.

Larsa's a child prodigy from a wealthy family (rumored to be a magi). He's way younger than anyone else in the school, but he also excels in every subject. For some reason, no one bullies him or calls a need or anything. Quite frankly, the kids at school seem to all love Larsa due to his kind, humble and helpful nature. He, however, is not that confident in himself, and tries to win everyone's favor by buying them drinks from the vending machine.

Also, Ms. Ashe doesn't really like visiting the headmaster. His secretary Venat always creeped her out, though she could never figure out why.
