Had a meet up dream the other night, myself. ****ing Del Murder stood in the corner with a Tiger on a leash. He had the same hat Micheal Jackson had on in the "Annie Are You Okay" song from that one movie of his. I was nervous, but no one else was freaking out about it, so I just stayed quiet. Then it turned out Del Murder was the tiger and the person holding the leash was some sort of hologram. I don't know, man.

Though mine was pretty normal..Everyone came up the stairs in some kind of tree house, and I remember seeing Sarah and Pontus and soooo many more people! It was really exciting. But when I woke up, I had the same idea about name tags xD Might be necessary, at least the first few hours. Or a thread with everyone joining the event with pics and names so I can learn them by heart. I'm afraid of asking every second person awkwardly for their names because I'm not 100% sure.

I think someone's already mentioned the importance of name labels for everyone there. I'd suggest having *all* screennames, both past and present, in addition to aactual first names. If you lose track of EoFF for a wee while, someone can become almost unrecognizable after a name change or two.

So I called the lady to be absolutely sure and she said I could pay $400 on travel documents but if I'm gone less than a year all I will need is my green card and my Canadian passport. She says having documents of employment here or bills under my name is a plus, but not necessary, especially considering how short of a travel period it would be.

I was talking to Shorty about the idea that we should definitely have a guest book type of thing. Everyone can write their name and username in it. It'll be nice memorabilia for the time we're there. We can also do it school yearbook style, where you go around to people and write something in their book that they can look back on later.

Another idea is for us to have a bunch of disposable cameras laying around for anyone to use.

These are just a few more things to keep in mind later on when we start to raise funds for the trip :-)

Me and Paul were out for my birthday the other day (thanks for missing my birthday thread again guys. I know you love me really but damn I think I've had like 3 made in 12 years of being a member!) wandering round London's West End and generally discussing how terrible socialism is and why the Zumba party taking place reminded us of the dictionary definition of "Mutton, dressed as lamb" (it was like a photo was found in the dictionary). Along the way we had an idea of "Things To Do" which included a trip to the National Gallery (heads up non UK people who've never visited; Museums and Art Galleries if owned by the National Trust are free to enter) where we do a caption competition. We've done this in the past, it was very amusing.

Another suggestion: we write colours on pieces of paper and then put them in a hat, mix them up, then take a colour out at random. Whoever is wearing shoes of the colour that was drawn from the hat has to get naked and spend the rest of the day as such.

I never really got into the photobooth craze because my brain keeps screaming "You could buy so many disposable cameras for that cost and just set up a designated area for people to abuse them (and people could use their own cameras too) and end up with better quality pics" but yeah. Think more in line with how pro photo areas are set up during red carpet / school balls / business "thank you" nights or whatever. Just an idea. We might even be able to invest more in props that way. This is all assuming we have a half decently sized area, of course!

For disposable cameras wouldn't you have to have someone clicking them? And then you have to get them developed. Seems more convenient to just have an automated machine do all the work and print it right there.
