Basch is really one of my favorite characters in this game, he even edges out Balthier for me, I mean he's stoic, takes the shit given to him with dignity and some of the first scenes with him involve watching him cut down a whole platoon of guards and then performing a Quickening to blow up scout class airship. So this thread is dedicated to the awesomness that is Basch!

The TA, TA2 and Bravely Default pics are not Yoshida art, Wolf. The character designs for TA and TA2 were done by Ryoma Itou. And it's true that Yoshida did design the main cast of BD, but most of the job outfits are done by other people. And while I'll agree that the arcanist outfit is abysmal, your ignorance really surprised me, Wolf. Shame :colbert:

On topic, I like how he's essentially the Matsuno protagonist in this game. He is humble, focused on finding the truth, not matter how hated he becomes in the process.

But yeah, Basch is a pretty damn great character. I've actually been thinking about giving XII a replay lately, and one of the main reasons was because I just want to run around as Basch killing things and being awesome.

Not as dead as you are to ME! Tactics Advance is an awesome game, easily the best written FF of all time. I see no shame in it sharing a universe with Tactics and XII.
