So, word has it that there's a new Ace Attorney game coming out soon from Director Shu Takumi. Will we see more of Phoenix Wright and his fellow attorneys in this upcoming game? Nope! It'll be set in Meiji Era Japan, and the star character appears to be the ancestor of Phoenix Wright, who just happens to wield a sword.

The name of the game is Dai Gyakuten Saiban - Naruhodou Ryuunosuke (Grand Turnabout Trial - The Adventures of Naruhodou Ryuunosuke) for the 3DS, and as you can imagine, Naruhodou is the name of the main character. Not much is known about the game besides the title and setting, but I really do have high hopes for this game.

It is rather disappointing, but I still have high hopes that this game will be just as fun as the rest of the Ace Attorney games. :D

Her name is Mikotoba Susato, and she’s a judicial assistant; according to Takumi, she also loves foreign mystery novels and is a forward-thinking dreamer.

Apollo Justice, as much as I may have to say against it, is still a stellar game. It's the weakest of the series so far, but still great. If they make something better than Apollo, which they might do, then I will be okay with this.

Phoenix Wright's Japanese name was Naruhodou Ryuiichi, so I wonder how they'll localize this one.

The MC is a descendant of Wright, so it'll be a fun pun with Weight as his last name! Hmm... I can't think of anything good.

Personally for me, while I did find Apollo Justice to be the weakest of the series, it is still a top game in my opinion, and is only marginally less appealing that Justice for All, which is the weakest of the original trilogy.

I actually quite like the ancestral link. It'd be interesting just how similar this ancestor is to Phoenix Wright. I wonder if the Judicial assistant is a descendant of the Fey line. I honestly wouldn't be surprised.

I have high hopes for this game. I always do for the series, to be fair, but... it's another Phoenix Wright game! Yes!
