Which do you use for your online shopping needs? That is, if you don't include reasons like the EoFF amazon?

Depends on what gives me the cheaper option.

I will often check all corners of the internet for deals before making a purchase.

Between those two, 95% Amazon 5% ebay

Numbers possibly skewed by my Kindle

Amazon is first port of call. I get most my new games there.

Ebay is useful for rarer items, such as figurines.

"other" would be for anything that I can't get on Amazon, but isn't et on ebay. For example, the bravely default collectors edition was only on shopto.net. I got it there.

I use both in equal amounts, I would say.

I tend to venture to Amazon whenever I need to buy something online.

I use eBay mostly, just because I used to find the number of things that posted to Australia through Amazon very disappointing. That has probably improved since the last time I visited our version of the site, but I have an eBay habit now.

Amazon tends to be where I get things that I need purchased from an online general purpose kind of a store. I never had an ebay account. Amazon also has the addresses of various EoFFers in there for whenever I want to send surprise gifts.

I buy from Amazon generally. I have Amazon Prime so I get to have the free two day shipping. I've only used ebay when trying to find a good deal on a rarer game or whatnot.

Yeah, mainly Amazon these days. I'm really bad at ebay and I'm always in bidding wars for random items. I'll end up paying £200 for a pair of gardens shears or something.

I always use the EOFF Amazon link too which goes without saying :D

I only shop at small independent stores on the high street no bigger than 4sqm in floor size and run by hipsters with beards so I can retain my essential feeling of moral superiority over filthy proles feeding the Amazon corporate machine.

I virtually always use Amazon. I don't know why, but eBay scares me somewhat. I don't like the thought of bidding for items and stuff. Having said that, when I have gone on eBay, it's always for the items you can just straight purchase.
I always use the EOFF Amazon link too which goes without saying :DNaturally. I actually have the EoFF Amazon link on my bookmarks bar.

Amazon for most things and eBay for rare things that have the buy now option. I'm not bidding, just give it to me.

I honestly use eBay more but I use both. I never really bid and even so, most stuff is cheaper for me on eBay. Plus, the only 2 times I've had issues with stuff ordered online was through amazon.

eBay isn't bad if you just use the Buy It Now option (that's what I do.) It's basically just like Amazon then.

I use eBay for things like really old video games that can't be easily found on Amazon. Basically if you need something old and don't care if it's used, then eBay is the way to go. I've snagged some dirt cheap games and controllers that way.

I use Amazon to fill my needs, but on eBay I do shopping. Just got Bailey some great new jammies for $3-$6 a set!

I've never used Amazon, and I haven't used eBay in years. If I shopped online as much as I used to I'd probably be using Amazon almost exclusively. The only reason I used to use eBay so much is because the items I was buying were unique or one-off items that Amazon didn't offer.

When I first started buying stuff over the internet, I bought from ebay. Recently, I made a purchase via Amazon, but I don't like make internet transactions. They're a little bit frightening.

Oh, PS, I only ever "buy it now" with ebay. Do people still bid on things?

I buy clothes and shoes on ebay. Regular solid colored camisoles, cardigans, stretch tees and flats. It's just such a million smurfing times better than going from store to store to find what I want. No I don't want a shelf bra camisole. No I don't want v-neck weird ribbed material tees. Just give me the stuff I want and give it to me super cheap as I sit in the convenience of my own home!

I think I bid on there when I was trying to get a copy of Tomba! That's only because I saw it was at the end of the bid and it was a little cheaper than any other time I saw that game.

I bid sometimes. Usually if it's something I only want if I get it insanely cheap.

Gimmie some of the sellers you use!

Does "Buy It Now" have some magic function that always lets you use your credit/debit card or something? People keep saying it's the go-to button. Though it's generally tagged with an overly inflated price. But the eBay I know requires PayPal, which is also a pain in the ass. I use Amazon because I use my debit card for everything. PayPal requires like 5 days to transfer funds. Which sucks if I find something up for auction that ends in like 1 or 2 days. Serious headache

Miss Mae

You can pay directly with a debit/credit card through PayPal. Like, it uses PayPal but not actual PayPal funds. It goes through in a day for me when I do it this way, which is the same time it takes for me if I pay through debit/credit directly online.

Yeah, I have always tied my PayPal with my debit card. I didn't know people actually loaded PayPal with credit.

There's "buy it now" on most items that are sold by mini-stores operating through ebay, where they usually have 10+ of any given item at any time. Rare items, however, are still usually bid on.

One bad experience I had with ebay, was that I had just one an auction for Final Fantasy VIII when I was informed that I couldn't make good on my end because I'd gone past my credit limit and actually already owed money. The guy selling the game was understandably pissed.
