The YouTube Thread - We need your help!

We've been working our heinies off trying to come up with ideas for our YouTube. As a site, we are really trying to push for content here as we think it's an opportunity to reach out to a fanbase untapped by EoFF.

Below are some ideas we have for FF content to go on our YouTube page. Do you have any skills with editing? Do you want to lend your voice to create some projects with us? Are you interested in just recording yourself playing and commenting on it, or doing how-to videos? We would love for you to share anything you have to offer. If you are interested in doing any of these things, hop on it and send it our way! As long as it's FF, KH or SE-based, anything goes! (don't quote me on that)

What is article narration?

I sadly know nothing about video editing, but I can lend my voice for acting and stuff. I can also record myself playing some FF games, although I'm not sure how I could edit out the boring parts, but I could just do some simple video Let's Plays.

What is article narration?Take an article on the frontsite and then record yourself reading it, and then images or video footage relevant to it can be fitted in. This would be more along the lines of the features rather than news.

If I knew how to video edit, sure. As it stands now, I have no idea how to do any sort of video recording or capturing. I mean, how do people do those video Let's Plays in the first place?

I use Fraps and Adobe Premiere CS2. Either way, it doesn't matter if that's not your strength - ideas, writing and audio recording are all important too.

When sending videos please send them as .mp4s with preferably an H264 codec. They're a low size but hi res format that will fit on Google Drive, WeTransfer, and Dropbox. Also YouTube loves mp4s. If you're giving us things you've already put on YouTube, don't worry about this step.

Hmm...I might be able to get some sort of video footage/interview FF cosplayers at Youmacon this year. Theres always a great turnout of FF cosplayers there. But I dont have the capabilities to edit footage so someone would have to do that.

Also im thinking about remaking my helmet for Lucca, I could document that. If people want to see an amateur cosplayer at work that is. ..

I had an idea a while back where I could do commentary while mixing together FF themed drinks you can find on The Drunken Moogle and then giving a first impression taste test.

I still like this idea. I just don't have a camera at the moment. Another thing I'd like to do if possible is have another member do it with me so we could play off of eachother. I'll be meeting a few of you in the future, so who knows.

Well...I have an older digital camera (Cannon powershot) and no means to edit stuff. I havent done much with makeup lately so id have to play around but Ill see what I can do!
