Catching Frogs

Do you bother? I enjoy catching them even when I don't use Quina (which I actually am this playthrough!) Have you ever maxed out Frog Drop? How do you catch them?

I know you're not really supposed to, but I love wiping out a marsh.

Yeah I have fun catching frogs. It isn't my favorite thing, but it's a nice change of pace sometimes.

i hated it when you had to enter the marshes for whatever reason and you'd get that automatic scene where quina asks to catch frogs and its like NO FUCK OFF QUINA

i will probably try do it next time i play though because I've never bothered doing it before.

I don't mind it, though it wasa bit time consuming but getting all the frog's did offer a couple of bonuses like Frog Drop becoming a game-breaker and being able to fight Quina's master and steal all of it's equipment for Quina.

I always catch frogs. Trouble is, I caught all the frogs and then it took centuries for the frogs to respawn and ugh.

I usually stop once I fight Quinna's master unless I'm planning to fight Ozma.

I always get either Frog Drop or Dragon's Crest maxed out every playthrough unless I'm speedrunning, often times both. I always get at least 200 frogs so I can do high damage really early. Also, you're apparently not supposed to catch the golden frogs because they boost the respawn rate when there's a male and female frog left. But I always catch them anyway.

Yeah, I catch everything and IDGAF. At least for the first several times you visit the Qu's Marsh (Qu's Marsh, Qu's Marsh, Outer Continent, Qu's Marsh, Outer Continent) you visit them so far apart that it doesn't really matter.

I never did the Frog Catching Minigame. One of the few things I didn't do in this game actually.

Just like in games that offer fishing, shepherding, beekeeping (never seen that), etc. catching frogs can be a fun diversion that can take you back to days of chasing small animals like cats, dogs, frogs, lizards, squirrels, ducks, etc. I also enjoy the other mini-games such as jumping rope and the like.

I fail at frog catching, also never saw the point, other than some Quina specific gear and a optional boss.

I've caught frogs every playthrough. Only got to Quale one time though.

I never actually did frog catching. I never used Quina so it didn't bother me.

I did catch the max or whatever it is, like 99? I think you got her/his top Blue Magic spell or something like that and an optional boss like someone above mentioned. It was pretty tedious and took some time, but I guess I had some time to kill at that point. BUt I sure was glad once I was done. Going back and forth on and off the screen to get the frogs to reload was a pain too.
