Eurovision starts around 8pm or so (UK time) on Saturday. Last year I watched it along with a bunch of #eoffers and some of us got drunk and it was just generally a great night in the chatroom. So, I encourage everyone to join us in #eoff on that night. :smash:

Or, you know, post in here about Eurovision before/during/after the event if you like.

It's likely I'll be out at that time, but as long as everyone keeps boozing and chatting, I'm in! :D

What's Eurovision?

I don't like Eurovision so I won't watch it, but I'm always up for a drunken night in chat...only if it moves over to Skype later in the night, as usual!

I'll watch it if only for the beardgirl.

Yep, getting drunk sounds like the right thing to do. Not at all bad looking except the beard though.

Sounds good. We did not have plans to do anything this weekend, or even watch Eurovision. What better excuse is there to have a drink with friends than some terrible music? :D

Sarah, Eurovision is an extremely camp event where various singers/bands/performers from around Europe carry out a very high profile song contest. It's generally quite mental and has a fair amount of terrible singing.

Oh, no interest in that. But I'll be around for booze and voice chats.

It is a terrible idea.

Let's do it anyway.

I used to have this weird tendency to always be at someone else's place when Eurovision popped on and they would have it on the TV and it never really caught my attention much (although I will admit it is has a certain appeal for the kind of "what the hell?" effect the modern world generally has reserved for YouTube these days), however it wasn't until last year's thread and chat (http://home.eyesonff.com/lounge/150136-eurovision-song-contest-campfest-2013-a.html) that I genuinely discovered how fun this thing can be when you're drunk and with similarly drunk friends all watching the same often-terrible thing at the same time.

If you don't like Eurovision you are dead to me.

Reminds me of when me and Levian used to watch it together every year and bond over a shared love of Terry Wogan.

Haha, I watched the qualifications today and thought of exactly those moments! and now I see you posting it here, funny how that works.

I hope Olivia Newton-John finally beats ABBA this year.

I'll be watching Eurovision for the VERY FIRST TIME. Fucking Australian tv doesn't seem to show it unless you pay through the ass for Foxtel
