What's your eyesight like? Do you have 20/20 vision or are you as blind as a bat?

Do you were lenses or glasses?

My eyesight is terrible. I went from like -2.25 in both eyes to -3.25 (left) and -3.75 (right) within a year.

I live in my lenses. I put them in straight after my shower and don't take them out until I go to sleep.

I very rarely wear glasses, in fact I haven't been able to wear my glasses for at least 9 months because the prescription was too weak. I finally ordered some new glasses yesterday. They're pretty cute! :jess:

I don't remember what my prescription is but I have worse vision in my left eye than my right, and i have a freckle inside my right eye. My current glasses are from when I was a junior in high school, so I was around...16/17 when I got them. i need new ones so bad! I just need to stop being pregnant for a while and get some new ones :colbert:

I don't know if I want to try contacts out because i Have had glasses since I was in 5th grade (10), and i think it'd just be weird to suddenly not have to wake up and put my glasses on right away :|

However, when i do get new glasses, I'm hoping they will have ones similar to what i have because they are awesome!

Uhh... My left eye sees slightly better than my right one? Things are all blurry if I have my left eye closed.

I snapped my damn glasses in half some weeks ago. I've been wearing contacts since, but I need some new specs, I feel so weird without them ;-;

No idea what my prescription is.

My eyesight is baaaaaaad. But I'm well-off enough to not run into things without my glasses on.

I have terrible eyesight without my glasses. I can make out where things are, but it's so incredibly blurry. :D

This. I live in glasses, basically. I mean, I actually look better with glasses. Without them, I look even more hideous!

I've worn glasses ever since I was 5 years old or so. I can function without my glasses well enough, but everything is a bit blurry. I've never worn contacts or anything, and it's honestly never interested me. I like wearing glasses, and my face feels really uncomfortable without them just because I'm so used to them.

I'm super nearsighted so I wear glasses pretty much always. I wore contacts for a couple of years in high school/college and then got tired of how they always dried my eyes out so I'm back to glasses.

My eyesight is below average and slowly getting worse and worse.

I only wear glasses when Im watching movies or Im somewhere particulary scenic, without them anything 2 meters away looks like it's in 480p so I keep them for special cases where I want high definition.

I'm currently wearing -2.5 lenses, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to need to get those changed when I go back to the optometrist in July. I'll probably only need to go to -2.75 or -3 at worst, which isn't a huge jump, but man you start to notice when things are going a little hazy around the edges.

Right now I'm wearing Acueve Oasis contacts, but I normally wear my DKNY spectacles. That's why I purchased dailies, because it's more common for me to wear my glasses these days since I have a dry eye condition.

I'm a pretty common prescription: -2.50 in my left eye and -3.00 in my right.

My vision isnt that bad, my prescription is somewhere around a 1. I actually didnt wear glasses for a long time, then I finally found some that I like. I wear them all the time except at work and I dont get headaches nearly as much as I used to.

I have good eyesight! I don't think I'd mind wearing glasses if my eyesight got worse, though.

I used to be -3.25 or so in both eyes, then I got eye surgery. It is really the best decision I have ever taken.

However; old habits die hard, I still bring my hands to my face when I go to bed, to take my glasses off.

I have terrible eyesight. In fact, it's only gotten worst w/ time.

I worked in a different department a few years back & spent most of my mornings staring @ a computer screen formatting a report into a spreadsheet. Then in the afternoons I would do a check-off of all the items on said spreadsheet, adding up totals. Thankfully I transferred.

I ended up having to get a 2nd pair of glasses, because my eyes would have a hard time focusing on the computer screen. I only use those 2nd pair @ work (even though I should use them any time I'm on the computer).

I never go w/o my glasses. I won't get contacts because there's too much dust @ work, & I can't see a thing w/o them.

My contacts prescription is -7.25 (and I think glasses' prescriptions are generally a little higher than for contacts). So yes, I am virtually incapacitated without glasses/contacts.

Christ, can you make out anything without your glasses or is everything just a grey blur? I have a hard enough time functioning without my glasses with a -2.5 prescription.

Glasses or contacts for me, all the way. My eyesight's abysmal; I'm legally not allowed to drive without corrective lenses, not that I'd ever try since I'd cause an accident and probably die within seconds.

I wear glasses myself. I don't know the exact numbers for my eyes but I do know things get blurry about a foot from my face and just get worse and worse from there. I've been wearing the things for years, with this pair being my third. I 'm not all that fond of contact lenses, as I hear you can get parasites from those....

I'm near-sighted. I can't see far away.

The plus side is that my sister's gf has slightly worse eyesight than I do, so she gives me her glasses whenever she gets tired of them & gets new ones (& she's kind of a snob, so they're always high-end frames). Saves me going to an eye doctor.

Oh man. I need a new pair of glasses. Or some contacts. I ran out of contacts a couple months ago. The glasses I've had are over two years old. And broken. waaay broken.

I need to either get new contacts/glasses, or sign up for eye surgeries. I get it for free. I just can't see myself being able to do it awake.

I'm getting more blind everyday and do need glasses but I don't wear any. It didn't really matter or concern me at all until yesterday I was driving my friend's quad around a field and almost crashed. Then I realised if I ever want to learn to drive a vehicle I will need to get some glasses :(

I've only started needing glasses in the last couple of years. I only use them for watching TV and driving. I've really noticed my eyesight deteriorate since having them though so I try not to use them too often.

I also use them whenever I go to Old Trafford to watch Man Utd as I have trouble making out who the players are. Trying to tell the difference between Alex Buttner and Tom Cleverley is nigh on impossible... especially when they look identical and they are both equally crap.

Everything is blurry, but I can see colors and shapes. I have to hold things within inches of my face for them not to be blurry. I cannot see any text on my computer monitor (or even that there is text) without glasses. I haven't even been able to read books semi-comfortably without glasses for a good 13-14 years.

I'm the same way, Raistlin. My laptop is ~1' from my face & if I take my glasses off I can't even read it squinting.

I have no idea what my eyesight is anymore, other than I'm terribly near-sighted and have worn glasses pretty much since I was 7. Tried contacts but they always irritated my eyes. So glasses all the way for me.

This sounds like a description of what I have to do. It seems there's a point where it doesn't matter how much worse your eyesight gets - the inconviences are the same. You know, unless you go actually blind or something. But to the point where it's fixable by glasses, anyway.

Wow, lots of us are lens-dependent!

I'm legally blind. I cannot read text on a 1080p resolution on a 27" monitor unless within eight inches. I don't trust the diopter measurements as that varies by the type of lens, so here are some cold hard distance-related figures for you.

Left: 20/350
Right 20/360 (and also colorblind, that poor eye)

I cannot read the gigantic E on the chart.

Bliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiind.

So, Eyes On Final Fantasy, just how good are those eyes? Are people and images blurry to you? Or are they sharp like scary knives or pretty diamonds someone sharpened?

I can generally see, to somewhat an okay level, but nowhere near as good as the average person. I need glasses really quite badly sometimes but, I never wear any and I see good enough to be able to navigate this crazy world.
When I'm walking down the street I never know if I'm seeing someone I know until they're pretty close; this can be awkward as sometimes people think I'm blanking them!

How are your eyes? I hope they're feeling okay. If not massage them. I would, but I'm probably too far away right now. I'd be so gentle. You'd fall asleep, maybe.

And finally for your viewing pleasure, here we have a beautiful video with some lovely music and lots of great sunsets. So use those eyes, EoFF! Use them well.

So instead of making a mediocre thread like I thought I had done, I got to make a smashing post, probably the best post I have ever posted. Ace.

Seriously though I think I even posted in this, how did I flake on that? What is wrong with me? I feel sick.

for god's sake Pike please help me :(
