For years now I've visited a website called Chrono Compendium , it's a huge treasure trove of information, fan projects and translations about the Chrono series and you can tell whoever has maintained the site over the years is really passionate.

One of my favorite finds was this page on easter eggs in the game. Listing things such as a possible picture of Janus and Schala, being able to see Magus' shadow and reading the opening dialogue of Radical Dreamers.

One of my favorite bits about the game was being able to go to Lucca's house/orphanage as it's burning to the ground and you're able to see pictures of Chrono Trigger characters on the wall. You can also input the same code that saved Lara's legs in the first game to get a really powerful attack for Kid.

I also like that Chrono Trigger DS was able to give a little hope that Guile may in fact be Magus, because at the end of Trigger Magus erases his memories.

Do you have a favorite way in which these games collide?

Nothing is quite as disturbing as the first time you visit the Dead Sea and find Lenne's Bell and the phantom Crono, Marle, and Lucca. I also liked finding the Energon machine and being able to restore your health but still be hungry.:D

Having Robo make his all too brief appearance was pretty cool as well especially since you would have to remember his real name to even catch the reference.

Having Glenn and Serge get Crono and Frog's X-Slash was a treat as well. Then there is the quest to restore the Masemune and we get to see Doreen again and hear Masa and Mune speak again, not to mention summon their super form with Serge is ultimate Tech.

I was actually going to come in to comment on the Robo and Mother Brain references as well. It's kind of odd out of all the Chrono Trigger Character, Robo is one of the only two characters who play a direct roll in Cross. (Lucca's involvement with Kid being the other.)

It's not really "odd". They specifically toned down the connection to Chrono Trigger and made sure the characters weren't there so that they wouldn't overshadow the new elements.

And it's hard for me to pick a favorite when I think that the game would have been a lot better off as an entirely separate world.
