I thought about putting this in TMHQ, but thought it might get more of response in GC.

Shorty has convinced me/is trying to convince me to pick my blog up again. She has a blog! Auly wants to blog! Shion has a blog!

Do you have a blog? Would you be interested in starting one? Would you read other EoFFers' blogs?

I tried to blog when I was boring and unemployed. I got through about three and then stopped. I guess now that I'm boring and employed, I have even less to blog about! :3

I have mentioned this before but I used to run a World of Warcraft blog that wound up with like 1200 subscribers and over one thousand unique daily hits, and snagged me all sorts of interviews with big websites and podcasts and stuff. It was pretty neat. I miss doing it sometimes but you can't write a World of Warcraft blog when you're not playing of World of Warcraft, unfortunately.

Mister Adequate and I have been co-writing a video game blog for the last... three and a half years or so. We were really good about it for the first couple of years but these days we're much busier with our freelance writing stuff so it doesn't get updated quite as often. Still, anyone who is interested (aka no one) can go give it a gander: http://www.theandroidscloset.com/

It doesn't get a fraction of the hits my WoW blog did but that's okay :)

I started a blog for my reviews back in November of 2011. Went on a hiatus April 2012 because I was busy with my RP at the time and started up again July of last year. It's now my primary source of income.

I was teasing you, Pike! I am very happy for your success and you are an excellent writer, so it's good you get so much recognition for it :D

Never underestimate WoW's popularity.

I have 4,824 views overall by country ranging from the US, Ukraine, Germany, Russia, the UK, Canada, France, China, Malaysia, Sweden, and I made 22 bucks since signing up with Google AdSense. Funny thing is I only started getting comments recently so I don't know how many of those views are from real people. You can read me on your mobiles, too. 5/5 on site health and I didn't even do anything.

I never did do ads with my blog. I had all sorts of offers when I had that WoW thing and I turned them all down. It was possibly a dumb move, and capitalists everywhere will laugh at me, but something about it bothered me. Most people run Adblock, anyway.

My biggest regret is quitting before hitting 1,000,000 overall views, I think I had like 900,000

I have the most views from The US, Poland (thanks Fynn), Australia (thanks Mae) and Germany. I have no idea who I know from Germany. But I have had a few people I don't know send me random messages about my blog, so that's nice!

I did have to remove my own views from the view count, because I look at my blog to check my 365 list and I want to see how many views I have that aren't my own.

I'd read other peoples blogs but I don't really have an interest in writing one myself! Everybody should share their links :)

Yeah, most of the money I've made have been from friends clicking on the ads before they close out.

<3 my friends.

Okay, everyone link their blog and I'll add it to my Feedly. (RIP Google Reader.)

But my links are in my sig. Ah, what the hell, free publicity.

I update every week. If you comment on a post and it doesn't appear straight away that's because I have it set to approved comments. I should probably just remove that, not like I get much spam anyway.

shameless self plug

I just hit 11k views today! Sad to say that it's probably because many are indexing bots and spiders. I think Google analytics offers a more dependable number.

also social media in my sig god bless you and have a nice day

There have been a couple of threads in Timber Maniacs where I've linked my stuff, but I might as well do it here too! Both of my blogs are sort of inactive right now, but I'm planning to pick both of them up soon.

Imaginary Writer (http://www.imaginarywriter.com/) - This was started with the intention of using it in my classroom someday. It's a general writing tips blog, but I also want to use it to promote/discuss my various writing projects. Various life things happened that killed my motivation on this, but it should be picking up soon!

Something Nightmarish (http://somethingnightmarish.blogspot.com/) - This is going to be a horror blog. I'm going to be combining my own horror fiction with reviews on various movies, books, games I've experienced. The very basic gist is that it's written from the perspective of a guy who just moved into a new town that ends up having tons of weird, scary stuff happening, but the blog is going to start with him just reviewing horror stuff. No posts now, but my plan is to get this going right around June 1st.

I have a Tumblr blog that I use for my personal blogging, but I tend not to hand that URL out because it's nice to have a safe place on the internet. I'd rather talk to the 400~ strangers that follow it than people I actually know. :shobon:

I have a writing blog (http://alaynamcole.tumblr.com) that is gradually getting more attention each time I post. I've had about 50 notes over the last week which isn't bad given it's very new. I decided to add a hit counter today because the analytics on the platform doesn't include total number of views. Hopefully that will give me a better idea of the sort of traffic in generates over the coming weeks.

I also run a blog on behalf of a writing competition, Needle in the Hay (http://nithwritingcomp.tumblr.com), which has a following close to 2,000 people now.

I have mine.

It's food.

I haven't added anything since December. Kinda lost steam after my mom died & moving & all that.

EDIT:

dear Lord. Really, autocorrect? You're so judgmental.

I've been thinking of starting a food beta testing blog instead of my QK thread, but I'm not sure!

I never really have anything to say. Which is why I rarely use the blog on the forum. I'm too private of a person to feel comfortable with talking about personal stuff.
