I think I prefer her short hair just because of her personality. She's much more confident and outgoing. Also, her character picture in the menu is so much cuter.

I also think her long hair is just... too long almost. You see it blowing in the wind and I'm surprised it doesn't get hung up in a tree. But yeah, she's very pretty with both hair styles.

I think it looks better long. But I like long hair so that's probably why. She also probably clipped it at the end so it doesn't go everywhere when she's in battle. Like it at least stays together!

I didnt like the way she tied it when it was long, it wouldve been better as a braid. It looks ok if you cant see her back but otherwise it looks ridiculous.

I liked Garnet's hair when it was longer before she cut it. Yeah I understand the new identity idea and changing her name and not being able to talk, but from a princess stand-point and somewhat love interest for Zidane, I say the long-hair played the look a bit better.

I actually like them both. Her long hair is very beautiful, but her short hair has a symbolic meaning to show that she has matured, become independent and overcome her emotional pain.

Long is always better. Not too long, of course. You don't want to be tripping on it or anything, but it's gotta at least be long enough.
