It's that time again! Time for us to pit our fellow forum members against each other in a battle to the death to see who will reign supreme!

What... no? Is that not what this is? Oh, my bad. Turns out this is actually the Ciddies Speeches thread! What that means is that we need YOU, fellow forum goer, to write speeches about the Ciddies and the people who are in it to win it.

You know what the Ciddies awards are, you know who our nominees are, now it's time to get writing! Or, for something new and special this Ciddies, time to get recording! Our very special Award Guy is opting for something new this time around, including a voice chat for the Ciddies, so we are encouraging all speech writers to record their speeches via vocaroo.

But shion, I don't have a microphone/am mute/don't like recording myself/am being held hostage please save me, can I still write my speech instead? Absolutely! We look forward to your speeches, written or recorded, and will welcome them all! If you do choose not to record your speech, our very own Mr. Shauna has volunteered to read them off for the voice chat portion of the event and your written version will be posted up in the thread for all to read!

We recommend you avoid writing speeches for the awards you are nominated for, and instead encourage you to write them for the other great Ciddies awards. The speeches are about the awards and the members nominated for the awards, which we present before revealing the winner!

A massive thankyou to everyone who has got involved with this, especially if you've already got speeches submitted!

If you're unsure which to pick, keep in mind that the first speeches we'll be using will be the ones for the MLT's, so do your best to grab those and get 'em knocked out first... it saves me getting into a bit of a panic in the last 24 hours before the Ciddies start!

It's actually recommend you write a speech for something you are not nominated for. You can write about the members or just the subject in general :D

I just haven't decided which terrible accents to record them in. I mean, obviously the FIFA ones need to be in awful British and awful Spanish accents. (Or terribly a convincing Spanish accent, I haven't really decided which. Or I could ACTUALLY do them in Spanish and you'd all have to translate them.)

Since the Ciddies aren't until Saturday that gives me more time to polish my speeches a bit. I'll be sending them out tomorrow instead of today. Depending on when that gets done, I may be able to take one more speech that hasn't yet been done.

I have backup speeches written for all of the unclaimed ones.

As a precaution, tonight I will be writing backups to all of the claimed ones that I haven't received, just in case something comes up we won't be stuck scrambling last minute. Obviously its preferable we get other peoples speeches but I realize things come up sometimes and some people might not be able to complete theirs as planned.

I will be marking my speeches with (backup) and as soon as I receive the speeches if its after the next 4-6 hours, I will send those off to Award Guy to replace my backup speeches.
