Let's Play Final Fantasy X HD Remaster #73 - OP? What do you mean OP?

Hello and welcome to Shauna & Mr Shauna Play Final Fantasy X HD Remaster!

This is something we have long been in discussions with the runners of the Eyes on Final Fantasy YouTube account, and it has been eternally put off because of various things, but here we are! Finally managed to get our capture card working, we wrangled Aulayna in to make us a nice title card (many thanks, it is lovely!) and most importantly we actually have enough free time in our schedule so we can game!

Without further inane babble (I'll leave that to the videos themselves), I leave you with Episode #1.

In Episode 01, we watch a lot of cutscenes and get an introduction to our main character and also a much more interesting character. Not even twenty minutes into the game, Mr Shauna somehow makes a potentially fatal mistake – can we pull through and continue on in our adventure?

Hope you all enjoy! Any suggestions for improvements, However, we have already recorded the next few episodes so the improvements won’t come into play until later on!

Things I am aware of:
- The quality not being fantastic, it is something I have looked into and should have fixed for next time we capture
- The TV being recorded in the background of our commentary
- We tend to mumble a bit, I chalk this up to our first time doing something like this

One of the things I really need to enjoy a Let's Play is to have the commentary go hand in hand with the gameplay, and you've successfully mastered that already.

Question, other than the optional expert grid & updated graphics, is there anything different about the game (like bonus dungeons/weapons/monsters/abilites/whatever)?

The music has been redone too, some less noticeably than others. :) But other than that, there's not been much added to the EU version that we didn't already have.

Also you guys might want to put an annotation at the end of each video linking to the next one. I put it on the first one or two for you (I can't remember) but then thought hang on, that's probably overstepping my bounds. :shobon: My Sims videos have picked up a small handful of clicks that way. Can't help but feel sorry for binocular dude. He must've been hella annoyed. At least Tidus put his binoculars to good use.

On a more technical note, if you want to make Kimahri useful, teach him Steal and Use ASAP. I've also heard of people just saving his Sphere Levels until Spherimorph and then actually teaching him Holy right then. And I have to point out that you wasted 1000 Gil on O'Aka. 1001 Gil is the sweet spot, though 10001 is the best you can get (not worth it though).

This time on Final Fantasy X HD Remaster: the gang, fresh from the woes of the Tidus laugh, jaunt merrily down the Mi'ihen Highroad. Along the way, they find a wise scholar who regales to them the story of the Crusaders, while he quivers with fear. Then, the party are ambushed by a horde of savage beasts that attack travellers on the highroad, delaying the journey of the group. After much toil, the team arrive at a rest area run by the Al Bhed, where they can regain their strength! Also we make some jokes and have some good banter and stuff.

The road that runs below this Newroad is the original Mi'ihen Highroad. Hence, the road that Lord Mi'ihen walked is not this road, but the Oldroad. The Newroad was built to replace the Oldroad destroyed by Sin five hundred years ago. But sometimes, standing on the Oldroad and reminiscing about the past can be a pleasurable pastime.

So, there's this guy, think he's called Tidus, and he's been put into this place called Spira. So, first thing that happens is he finds himself in a cold watery temple, and he fights some sick monsters and then he gets picked up by some dudes with guns and they go into an underwater temple to turn on some lights. A big fish blows him away though, so he doesn't get to hang with the cool dudes.

He winds up on a beach and meets Wakka. Oh man, Wakka is a cool dude, look at that hair! They bond and become bros and Tidus joins the local sports team. So, Tidus goes to a town called Besaid...

..And that's how Kimarhi Saved Christmas. The End.

I'm gonna let you into a little secret. Seymour is the coolest character in this whole show. Look at this guy, he's got massive spikes coming out his hair and a sexy sexy face. Those long slender fingers running through those two massive pigtail things he's got going on? The guy is also head of the Guado! He's like the mayor of an underground town of people, and one of the highest religious leaders in the entire world of Spira!

He also uses both black and white magic in battle and has the super cool Aeon called Anima! Blasts monsters out of the sky with no problem at all. Tidus? Who cares about that guy!? Seymour is the way to go!
