My original sci-fi comic series, Lone Star!

Hey guys! I hope you can find the time to take a look at my original comic series I've been working on. Its drawn in an anime-style, but since it's in English the reading order is from Left to Right.

I haven't written a synopsis yet because I haven't finished the first volume, and the synopsis would include a big spoiler that is coming up XD

Essentially it is a story in an age of asteroid mining during a time of scare resources and perpetual war on Earth. The main characters you first meet, Mario and Josh, are heirs to weapons dev companies and have their own set of problems. I... can't tell you too much more because um, please read it! :D

I could post more but this post is already image-heavy and I don't wanna annoy people XD I am grateful if you guys could take a look. There's 50 pages so far and its my first comic I've tried to make with completely original characters, as opposed to my gaming comics and FFVII Aeriseph lovey-dovey mush comic.

Holy crap! Wanna collaborate someday? I love these kinda if stories, but I can't draw well enough to do something like this :shobon: I do write a lot, though, and I can do some basic character designs, and your stuff looks great and I really wanted to do a comic with someone, someday! :exdee:

White Wizard, I am glad you like my art. Thank you for taking the time to look at the comic! Right now I am swamped with projects so I don't plan on adding more to my plate. Did you draw your signature art? It looks great! Don't sell yourself short on your drawing skills. Everyone starts from somewhere and they can improve every day! It just takes tons of work and dedication.

Here are my characters Josh, Mario, Liam, and Helen (from left to right) in a simulation in the VR room on the Lone Star Space Station. This scene hasn't happened yet in the comic, but I wanted to draw it for more "promo art." :D

Now that deviant art has an actual app, i'll try to follow this more closely. Seeing as I don't create much art on my own anymore I don't visit as much as I should. Now that it's an app, I have no excuse since I can see it from anywhere (with cell service of course)

Thank you for taking the time to look, guys. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in this project that I feel like I lose objectivity or even think I miss the point of my illustrations - to tell a story. Hearing your comments helps me keep it in perspective. I'm working on more pages this Christmas break and hope to release them in the New Year or sooner!
