Highscore Challenge - Super Mario Kart [SNES] - Winner Revealed!

So off the high of the Ciddies Revelations it's time to start the High Score Challenge for June. Here this month we are going to play Super Mario Kart for the Super Nintendo.

Based on the voting from the community, the month we are playing SNES Rainbow Road (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/156682-Course-Vote-for-Super-Mario-Kart-Highscore-Challenge) with Koopa Troopa (http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread.php/156681-Character-Vote-for-Super-Mario-Kart-Highscore-Challenge). I'm tired and drunk so here are the rules:

1. Rules are for chumps
2. Seriously though, we are playing Super Mario Kart. The voting chose that we race as Koopa Troopa on Rainbow Road, so that's what we're doing. I'm not going to accept any remakes from the likes of Super Circuit or Mario Kart 7. Despite being remade in both games they are vastly different tracks.
3. Either record a Video, or take a picture of your Highscore, and PM me these scores. Please do not publicly post scores, public high scores early on may discourage entrants.


What I intend to do for this Highscore Challenge is to give feedback on the score for each race. Say "Mario" Scored a time of 3"30'00 and Koopa Troopa score a time of 3"33'00, I would give feedback that Koopa was +3 seconds behind the next contender via PM and advise him to check the thread to see his ranking.

As a side note, I have been informed that the US version of the game is faster. This version will net you the better time overall so I encourage you play this version. I will be accepting all entries as equal though, so if you want to play on the PAL version to offer yourself the extra challenge, feel free to do so.

I will also post a ranking, but scores will be kept hidden until the 10th, because I say so. Below is my score after attempting this course for the first time. Use it as a benchmark to relate your own score to.

Rather than try to figure out where I put my CRT to actually PLUG IN my Super Nintendo, I opted to go the digital route. I believe you said previously that emulation was acceptable, yes? It's totes legal since my cartridge is sitting in a box about eight feet away. :P

Right, well I just can't get near Endless score on my PAL SNES. Hell, I can't even get near my score! I'm pretty much gonna have to do a perfect run (or as perfect as I can get it) to beat it. But taking every corner like a madman leads to a lot of falling off...

Congrats Endless, thoroughly deserved! I may get an NTSC SNES at some point to try and improve my time. I think it would have been close anyway!
