Have you ever had a period where for a few weeks its just a whirlwind of stuff going on and then suddenly you get some breathing room and you aren't quite sure what to do with yourself? I'm kind of in that boat right now. Tomorrow I have to set up some appointments, but for tonight I'm kind of home free. So I'm just sitting here... looking around.

I am in a perpetual state of what you've just described.

You heard her, Award_Guy. Get to work.

Whenever I have time off work. Like now. I never know what to do with myself. I usually go from being a functioning alcoholic to a not functioning as much one. :greenie:

I've always got plenty of things I want to do, whether it's something moderately useful like trying to work on one of my web sites or programs, or something mundane like playing yet another video game.

Where I have trouble is when I travel away from home and am stuck using my ancient laptop and phone as my only computing devices, which makes it hard to get much of anything done. You can see the effect of this in action, as I've actually resorted to posting on the forum.

What I can suggest is trying to keep a list of things you want to work on (either of the "work" or "play" nature), so that when you do have some downtime, you can look at the list and see if anything seems interesting at the moment.

I'd love to be in that position!

Can't say I'm ever in that position, I always, always have something I should be doing. (Video games count as something I should be doing.)

Well if you count video games than I also have stuff I should always be doing. And cleaning but blargh

My calm night is now over and now I am back to dealing with realtors who don't even seem to remember that they are realtors, which is amusing in its own way :3:

Have you ever had a period

No.

My life peaks and troughs like that something major. xD I will have weeks with nothing going on, then suddenly I will have one million things to do. Usually in the weeks of nothing I embrace it and don't give a damn how much I don't have any idea what to do with my free time.

I always have something to do. I only usually have a couple of hours to myself each day so I really make the most of them by doing whatever I want to do! :jess:

Every day I have a day off this happens if I dont have plans. I could probably deal with working 7 days a week actually, I both love and hate having days off. This topic is the reason I hate having days off...

I worked it out. I just drink more and doing anything kinda makes me busy.

3 days into my week off and I'm doing nothing. What do I do? This thread is my life right now.

I'm just posting on here. But it isn't an active time of the day enough so new posts aren't appearing fast enough and I'm running out of ones to post in :nonono:

I feel your pain. Too bad you can't come with me to the movies.

That happens at work when we are super busy, then dead quiet all of a sudden. I find myself doing little things to keep busy until I can start the major projects.
