So let's just for the sake of argument that you have been tasked with working on a new Final fantasy game that happens to use the Job Class system but it's kind of a mid-tier project so you can only have 14 total. You must choose jobs that have appeared throughout the series, which 14 will you choose?

6.) Red Mage
7.) Blue Mage
8.) Gunner
9.) Dark Knight

I had to reach towards the end there.

No bows, Tori?

1. Fighter/Warrior
2. Thief
3. Monk
4. Black Mage
5. White Mage
6. Red Mage
7. Summoner
8. Blue Mage
9. Paladin
10. Dragoon
11. Bard
12. Hunter
13. Ninja
14. Beastmaster

The last two were hardest. I'd settle with the first twelve without a problem. Also, my Red Mage and Ninja would probably not be nearly as overpowered as they are in some games in the FF series. Beastmaster would possibly play out a bit differently than other games, too... it's a job that always interested me but I've yet to really give it a solid go in any of the games, so it's hard to say if they play out the way I imagine. I would have them be a bit like Ash with Pokémon (eg. Charizard), where you have to bond a lot in order to get the beasts to work hard for you but it can pay off the longer you make use of them, and they level up or something and you can only have three beasts in your "deck"... I dunno.

Other options I considered but opted against included Machinist, Dark Knight, Gambler, Dancer, Berserker, Scholar and Time Mage.

I'd like to elaborate on the Culinarian class as it wasn't an in battle class in the series.

Firstly stats 1 = Lowest 5 = Highest

HP - 3 MP - 3 STR - 3 DEF - 3 SPD - 3 MAG - 3 MAG DEF - 4 EVA - 2 ACC - 4

Weapons - Cookware such as Forks, Rolling Pins, and Skillets. They deal random amounts of damage like Quina. Ultimate weapon is Chef's Knife which has a high chance of dealing 9999 damage.

Armor - Robes and Light Armor
