Did you use any walkthroughs for this game?

I used a couple for certain dungeons :redface: Well it was easy to get lost in them!

I used the original NES materials - walkthrough and dungeon maps for the first half of the game, plus a world map and magic/weapon/armor equip guides.

I did have to resort to using some guides to make heads or tails of the equipment stuff when playing the original just because the equipment system was kind of half-baked in this game and there was no way to tell how much of an improvement some equipment was over others without buying it and then checking the status screen after switching through equipment. In case of the actual quest, I never used a guide.

When I was a kid, I used the guide that Nintendo Power made. My friend's mom also made a guide herself that I referenced now and then.

The first time I took on the NES version as an adult, I used Dr. Unne's guide to do so.

I had an uncle who was familiar with the game who I used as a guide a few times; specifically, he explained what a soft potion was (and that my stoned people weren't actually perma-dead), where to find my airship, and, I believe, how to promote my classes.
